Synq SDI1 Stereo DI Box

I'd done a lot of research to find this unit - unusual in that it's 'passive' i.e. does not need power (phantom or batteries) in order to work and can completely isolate both the outputs from their respective inputs. Furthermore, it also supports RCA phono, jack and XLR inputs, which I needed. The unit arrived in a timely fashion, well packaged and seemed to be well built. Upon use, I noted that one of the RCA inputs did not function, however, both the jack and XLR inputs on the same channel did; conclusion - dry solder joint on the RCA socket - very easily corrected with solder wick, a hot iron and re-soldered - now works a treat! Would I still recommend the unit, given my experience with it - absolutely yes.
