These gauge samples are nicely made with a good visible label for both the wire size and the ampacity rating of the copper conductor. This is a good way of verifying / documenting the deficiencies involving wire sizes based on the demand or the supply. I went to the local hardware store and got 3 more wire sizes that I see often (#2/0, #1/0, and a #4/0). You can use any properly sized heat-shrink to create the cap and of course "craft rings" go right in place when you make your own.

I said: "In order to be of value to a home inspector, these should be solid core wires in each gauge. While the diameters of each sample may be approximately correct, they are still not solid core and should be designated as such." This is not true - I have since been assured these are fine. Apologies for my incorrect reaction. I will cancel the return.
