Great value and quality Franklin T10 hotspot!
This hot spot works great for my area. It is a fraction of the price as my mobile provider and new in box. It is easy to setup and use. The signal is strong and I stream movies regularly.

Where have you been all my life!
I've been a T Mobile customer for probably 20 years now on a very old (and VERY inexpensive $) "pay as you go" type phone plan. The only problem with this plan has been that data (roaming wi fi) can't be added to it. It's a "phone service only" type plan. I've been able to use it on a smart phone and connect to home wi-fi but when out and about it was very inconvenient to be without. And of course I don't want to change phone plans which would cost sooooo much more than I pay. NOW I've discovered I can just get this mobile hotspot and have wi-fi where-ever I go!!!! I got this and it works great! For my situation I did need to purchase a monthly data plan from T-Mobile which is around $10/month but I think it is well worth it!

Disconnects every 10-15 days
This is easy to set up and works well - when it works. I am using it remotely to drive a few WiFi switches. I also have a GFI Notify device https://www.amazon.com/GFI-Notify-Outage-Notification-Smartplugs/dp/B095B4NKG6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=163ZIAOUELE9I&keywords=gfci+notify+smart+plug&qid=1698591092&sprefix=gfi+notify%2Caps%2C74&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840 on the network to notify me if the power or WiFi goes out. So far, it lasts 10 - 14 days, and the internet connection drops. The cellular signal is very strong, so that is not the issue. The WiFi stays on, but the internet connection drops. The device must be turned off and then back on to restore the connection. It is useless for my purpose. I am waiting to hear back from the seller on this issue.

May not be any better
May not be any better than the older T9. Seems to take much longer to restart, turning off and on. The signal is not any better. I would say better just to stick with the T9, which seems to be made with harder plastic.

Works OK, you will need IMEI information and possibly a new sim card to activate
You will need to provide T-Mobile with the SIM card number (as it came pre-installed) AND the IMEI number (under the battery) in order to activate the hotspot. You may also need to get a new SIM from T-Mobile (no charge). And, or course, a monthly mobile hotspot data plan. The password for thei Hotspot Manager is just "admin" (lowercase).

This works
Update- had problem with battery staying in place-also starting dropping connections. This works but it may not be the fastest. I used this for wireless security cameras and smart plugs. After reading all the reviews I still was not sure if this would work for me. It did with no problems. I think my speed are like 7mb, so it all depends on what you need it for. I just wanted something that would stay connected. My iPhone would cut out after a day. Make sure you go into the router and turn off sleep mode if you need to keep thingโs connected, it not they will cut out after 10 min.

Exactly what was listed
This is exactly what was listed and exactly what I needed. The Franklin T10 hotspot. All you have to do is go to TMobile and get a SIM card activated - itโs 10 for the sim and I chose a prepaid plan cuz I only need this for a trip. They have like 30gb of hotspot service for $40 bucks. You can put it on a normal monthly plan too. But I prefer prepaid since I only need something like this for trips and stuff. It activated great and works nicely. I recommend this since itโs functional and also cheaper than buying a brand new one.
