It can be adapted to different sized taps by selecting the appropriate washer. I bought this one as it didn’t cost much, just in case it didn’t work but it did. Used on mixer tap first. Learned the washers really need to be fitted correct way, Or it leaks (obviously) Once I fitted them correctly, No leaks. Then attached it to (standard) cold water bath tap, just had to adjust position of tap handle, And have left it attached for convenience, with no problems using tap as normal. Then just attach hose when needed. UPDATE!
