I got my Shark Hydrovac in November, around thanksgiving. I’ve used it nearly daily since. My dirty water is always gross. (We have 5 cats, 1 dog and 1 9 year old). I had previously ordered the Shark brand replacement roll, and while it worked like the original, it worked like the original ... which for me is slightly too short. We have textured tile in about half of the house and the original roll seems to wipe mostly the top texture and not the whole tile at times. Also it doesn’t even think about getting into the grout lines. THESE brushes are better in my opinion! The nap is slightly longer and I can tell it’s getting the texture on the tile surface better as well as sometimes will even get into the grout lines. Grout lines/tiles are never exact and even so it doesn’t deep clean them all but I’ve noticed several places that I’d been meaning to get down and scrub because the original roller missed something and this new roller actually got up out of the grout line! Other than seeming to scrub my textured tiles and grout better than the original, it works as if it were original and does just what it’s supposed to do. The sponges seem to fit perfectly into my plastic holders too. To prolong life and prevent smells after I mop I clean out any hair or debris from the roller area, wash/rinse brush and put back soaking wet, run a cup or two of water through, dump and clean dirty container, then run the self clean cycle. Once that is done I dump and clean the dirty container again, wash sponge and set out to dry and set roller out to dry, leaving the dirty container and roller cover cracked for air flow. This keeps the machine “clean” and stink free for the next use. I’m so glad I decided to order an aftermarket brand of roller brush because one of my main complaints was I didn’t think the nap on the original brush was long enough to clean effectively. I mopped yesterday as well as the day before with the new brush roll. I’ll say I did notice the dirty water was a bit less dirty the second day ... maybe because the full tile was getting clean and not just the highest texture, therefore just spreading old dirt around. Just a theory. I’ll definitely order these again! (If you change anything, make the nap ever so slightly longer to get into grout even better).

Perfect fit with no issues

Bought the shark hydrovac back a few months ago and have been using it almost everyday and no issues until other night and the brush was only cleaning in spot. Not full brush lengths and also I started noticing nasty water marks being left behind, after looking into the system I noticed the roller (even after running self clean option everytime after using) was very worn down and dirty! Decided it was time to replace brush roller and filters little did I realize how expensive it was to order from shark! Got 2 rollers and 4 filters for less than one roller from them! So after shopping around stumbled on these and they are PERFECT!! The filters are perfect size and the roller is the EXACT same as the one it originally came with just much cheaper!! I highly suggest if you have the hydrovac to buy these now and keep upkeep on the machine and save money!! Will purchase again when needed! Also was delivered in less than 24 hours and product was package very well and brand new!

The original brush picks up all the hair in my home, this one didn’t for some reason & it does leave some streaks which is fine, it’s not that big of a deal for me. It does leave the floor more “wet” If that makes any sense. Like with the original it will dry so much faster but with this one it sort of like, leaves a trail. Water comes out dirty every time so I’m assuming it’s doing its job which is what I wanted it to do anyway. It’s not an exact replica, but for the price it does the job. I like it, you get what you pay for.

Great smells as it should

Yes, all items work as outlined in description. Thorough cleaning and reuse is possible and I recommend to extend the life of the product. Cleaning often prolong the life of your mop and shampoo machine. Cleaning is fairly easy and straight forward. Once properly installed the machine works fine. Caution: If not installed correctly water and solution will drip onto your cleaned flooring. Follow written instructions and all should work without error.

Does the job. Doesn’t fit as well as the originals however with some gentle force it does the trick

This fitted perfectly and so far appears to be just as durable as the one supplied by Shark, silly not to buy when comparing cost!
