The slope is somewhat shallow, so no need for a long extension. I chose Hunter because they have been the most reliable fans I have owned over the years and it was significantly discounted on Prime Day. In my previous home, two Hunter ceiling fans in a cathedral ceiling ran continuously for over 20 years....and were still running when I moved. The instructions for installation were easy to follow and all parts were there. The only problem I encountered was the screws holding the blades to the arms. It is very easy to cross thread them and two of them would not start by hand. I had to take them out to the shop and clean up the threads to get them to work. There is no good way to hold the other side when tightening them. Poor quality here....workable, but use care with those. Even on high speed the fan is very stable with no wobble. Registration was easy....just take a picture of the icon, text it to Hunter and get back a link to register.
