I stumbled on this device during Cyber Monday. Installation was easy, works great, does the job, the solar panel is an excellent feature (no cables from an outlet). Only disadvantage is that you need an additional hub if you want to control it with Google Home. I might try to use Home Assistant with a Bluetooth dongle.

This is a very easy way to automate your horizontal tilting blinds. It takes a bit of time to install correctly but works like a dream. I am using it with a SwitchBot hub and Home Assistant. It makes a small noise, but it only takes a few seconds to open or close the blinds anyway, so the little bit of noise is not an issue. The solar panel is keeping the battery between 90-100% depending of whether it's a cloudy day or not. I have never had to use an external charger. This is a great retrofit and a must for smart home enthusiasts.
