Great sound and very sturdy

The drum was exactly as described in the write up, a separate pair of drum sticks were also purchased so the floor drum could be played instead of just banged, and produces a great earthy sound.

I love these drums. Solid and they make a brilliant sound. Perfect for children to play with on their own but large enough for 2 children or 3 little ones to play together

My 15 month old grandson is delighted with this (although I'm not sure that my daughter is quite so pleased). Has a really good sound and very easy to use. We particularly liked the colourful sides and the quality.

Bought as gift for 2 year old family relative, it was his favourite present that year

Bought drum for autistic 12year old lad. He loves it I did buy separate drum sticks for it.

My son loves this drum (he's 1 year old). He's making a lot of noise with it but seeing his face is priceless, and it keeps him entertained. He also likes turning it upside down and climbing into it, as well as using it as a seat (right way up).

This is a brilliant addition to my sons musical instrument collection. very sturdy, and a great sound, good value for money too.

Ho preso il tamburo insieme al tamburello per mio figlio di circa un anno. A lui piace moltissimo, il suono è intenso e forte, lo consiglio per chi ama la musica e non è infastidito dal troppo rumore. La bacchetta è ben fatta e al bimbo piace portarsela in giro ovunque vada ed è sicura anche per un bimbo così piccolo. Unica pecca: non ho trovato il marchio CE né sulla scatola né sul tamburo.

My 9 month old son loves to bang on stuff. I would put him on my lap and let him bang my Remo djembe. When he was in his walker and found the djembe and started playing it on his own, I knew it was time to get him a drum. I looked in toy stores but all they had were plastic drums that flashed and played the same lame music that every other baby toy plays when you hit it. I wanted a real drum for him. I'm glad I decided to look here, because I didn't think Remo made drums that were so inexpensive. I was trying to decide between the tom and the bongos and ultimately decided on the tom, my reasoning being it would be harder for him to knock over when he's playing on the floor (and thus have better luck hitting the drum head, and making a quality sound). The other reviews are right - it's very durable and sturdy. He often uses it to help stand up, drops toys on top of the head, and scratches the head with his fingernails. This drum won't show a ding or scratch. All around the rim is smooth and there are no sharp pieces for a baby to hurt himself on. The drum makes a nice sound and is sufficiently raised off the floor, enough for a thick carpet, so that the sound won't be muted. My son really likes the drum stick but I had to take it away because he liked putting it in his mouth and I was afraid he'd fall over on it or stick too far into his mouth. He'll get it back when he's past the "everything goes in the mouth" stage. The drum makes fine sounds playing with just your fingers or hands and my son really loves it. This is something that will last years - I can't wait until we can have a little family drum circle.

Mein 2 jähriger Sohn trommelt für ein Leben gern auf allen möglichen Dingen herum. Da dies oftmals eher kontraproduktiv für eben diese Dinge ist, musste mal was her, das seinen unbändigen Drang auf Dinge zu hauen stillen konnte. Da er auch generell auf alles, was mit Schlagzeugen zu tun hat steht, kam diese Trommel genau richtig. So kann er spielerisch an das Thema Schlagzeug bzw. Percussion herangeführt werden und hat auch noch Spaß dabei. Zwar macht die Tom einen sehr erwachsenen Klang aber es ist noch erträglich für das elterliche Ohr ;-)

Strumento musicale molto bello, non sembra affatto un giocattolo, ed effettivamente non lo è. Mio nipotino di un anno lo adora. Non sono una musicista quindi non posso dare giudizi sulla qualità del suono, ma per quello che può fare un bambino, ovvero pestare non troppo forte ed avere un suono in risposta, è perfetto.
