This book literally ticked all my boxes. Tropes-💌 ⭐Friends to lovers ⭐Fake dating ⭐Workplace romance ⭐Past traumas ⭐MMC with social anxiety I have no words, I was a sobbing mess.This book is so deliciously written. this was my first book by abby jimenez and what a great start. From the moment I started reading this book I knew it's going to be my first 5 star read of 2024. This book was so SO SO GOOD!! I laughed, i cried . the whole maddox family dynamics are just my thing. I wanna meet jacob's grandfather and that damn parrot🤣 Also as a dog person i adored lieutenant Dan🥹 Jacob is literally My person🫶🏻 I see myself in jacob for sure. It is such an original story for a change and I adore both briana and jacob.A perfect story about two people who couldn't be more perfect for each other. It is my favorite romcom of all time. Everything felt so real and natural about this story, the characters were so well written, their past traumas, both of them helping each other dealing with it. They are just IT couple. This is a comfort read and it held my hand and said you are all right and I'm going to come back to it every time for that comfort.I have not one bad thing to say about this book. It's just perfect in every way. I DARE YOU TO READ IT!! I felt all the emotions Briana went through.her trauma and her inability to trust is described so well.I just wanted to punch nick in face for once. Even though Briana did a pretty good job with the revenge thing. The glitter thing🤣🤌🏻 I love her for treating jacob so well The way she treats him kindly, always has his back. Understand him through the eye communication thing😭I loved her character so so so much. I feel like I can't even describe it properly how much I loved her character. JACOB MADDOX!!!!! Damn this guy. He is a plant dad, He rescued a dog , He bakes, cleans, prefer writing letter for communication because he can't express himself well because of his social anxiety, journals, light candles in the rain, wash clothes with lavender scent, will choose to spend time with his dog at home instead of going out. He is the guy you will find sitting with a dog in a family function. Literally a saint. He is just the definition of my dream man with all his imperfections😭🫶🏻 I ADORE HIM!! THE GREENEST FLAG of the book community. He just warmed my heart and made me smile throughout the book. His anxiety is depicted in such a wonderful way , even i was feeling all the emotions he was going through the words and loved the way author had briana handle all those situations. He is so sweet, I have unrealistic expectations for love in real life because of him. I remember when Briana said 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 Couldn't have agreed more with Briana. I would do the same for him. You can't not love this man💕 No one doing it like Briana and jacob🫶🏻 How they had each others back and that scene where he showed her his soul. I was a goner. Never getting over this book and these two. And trust me when i say this , I'm a fantasy girlie and me obsessing over a romcom book is a big deal. Jacob maddox making to my top5 fictional men list is a big thing because it's filled with fantasy men.Just trust me this once and read this book. I cannot recommend this book enough.
