Good
Nice quality chain breaker that works without to much thought to put into it..it dismantles easily so easier to pack into my tool bag as room is important.it was at a really good price too and love it has a piece included to hold my chain in place while I'm reattaching my links

Worked for me
I used it to remove a few links from my new chain. A bit fiddly, but did the job

A great little tool!
A great design, it performs well and is comfortable to use, as the reviews will tell you, it will push the link pin out if you go too far. This is not a problem, just stop and have a look how far the push pin has displaced the link pin, the gizmo for holding the chain together is a nice touch and very handy, the instructions provided are tiny!, I printed a larger copy from the amazon page!. In a nutshell, I have had a couple of different splitters and have used this, it's a good tool for the price and it works well :)

False economy - poorly made, wonky and essentially just does not work
Sadly, absolute garbage .. I had hoped for the price it would make do for a quick chain break now and potential very occasional use. What it did was almost damage my new chain and hurt my hands! Pin nowhere near straight/true and nor was the replacement one in the "grip" (which instantly fell off and would never stay on!). I was very very careful to manipulate the chain into the correct place despite the wonky mechanism, but it just could not push the pin out at all and just made the link stiff. The handle is short so lacks leverage (thus the sore hands!). I have used chain breakers plenty many years back but seem to have lost my original tool (Park Tool .. of course!) .. just in case readers think I may not know how to use one. Sent it back and drove a few miles to a friend's house who had a .... Park Tool chain breaker! Immediately and perfectly drove out the pin in the chain with a perfectly aligned tool thread and pin. I hate that they still cost over £30, but it's really the only option.

Easy to get the pin out but not to put it back in I had to use things to help me
Just needed a tool easy to take the pin out on the chain but almost impossible to get a pin back in. I had to use scissors and flat head and a cotton ear bud to line up the pin to be able to hold it in place by the hole in the chain luckily after fiddling with it for about 30 minutes I got the pin in.

Easy to use chain tool
Recently my stock chain broke so bought a chain as well as this chain link tool to reduce the chain size. A good tool to keep in your toolbox incase a chain breaks again.
