However I believe some of the complaints about sharpness are a bit unfounded. My husband has been beating on the one he uses at work for weeks now. No rust, no dents, no nicks, and the blade doesn't look like you were trying to beat on a steel pole. This is a huge sharp piece of metal for a cheap price. It has a decent handle that allows you to index the edge with confidence. We even bought a second one for use in the home. You don't have to put much work in with the heft of this animal either. If you're looking for a knife that will cleave bone on a regular, this might not be for you Mr. Bateman.
