It might just be in contrast to Cresent wrenches which are miserable to use. Even compared to the old parellel jaw king D's it's better the narrow jaw is able to sneak into some awkward places. Like the nut above the rubber foot on an overly tight washing machine levelling leg. Or to rapidly walk the worm gear back enough to scrub out the rusted solid crescent wrench it's replacing. Surprisingly comfy handles, I think the 180 seems to be a good general purpose size to get a lot of use out of this. Still getting the hang of the adjuster but that's just because I'm old. Super useful tool that can replace a whole spanner kit for a lit of applications. Not all but most. I'd certainly grab this to tighten or loosen a bolt before hauling in the tub of spanners and sockets. Excellent tool well worth the money. Definitely deserves it's place in the tool bag even if it can't replace everything a full set of spanners in the van could.

I use this in an aerospace manufacturing enviroment and the convenient size allows me to carry it in my pockets. The adjustability saves me carrying a number of spanners . The smooth jaws also prevent marking of delicate items. While the price may seem expensive ,it 's quality and versatility make me feel confident it will last a lifetime.

These are far better than I thought they would be. They are easily adjusted - simply press and hold the button and slide to the required jaw width, then release the button to lock in place. The mechanism has a quality and positive feel. Squeezing the handles gives an amazing amount of pressure and will hold a nut very securely. I thought that they might "slip" on a nut and round off the corners but in fact they hold very tight and flat on the faces of the nut and do less damage than an ordinary adjustable spanner. They have an impressive adjustment range - from 0 to 36mm. These pliers are so quick, easy to use, and versatile that they have almost completely replaced all my combination and adjustable spanners!

I use these smooth jaw adjustable pliers everyday, they are perfect for SWA cable glands and plumbing connectors as the jaws dont scratch or damage the brass or chrome finish, even through they are small they have a great adjustment range and if not, I use the next size up.

These Plier Wrenches are a novel idea, interesting design and do have some unique features. Smooth jaws mean they will not mark fasteners etc. and can be used almost with a ratcheting design where you simply release your grip slightly to move the pliers back round and turn again. They can be used to hold things, turn fasteners, straighten sheet metal etc. In some scenarios they work well and are a vast improvement on the typical adjustable spanner design. There are some downsides however. When adjusted, you have to apply the gripping force yourself which can be tiring if used for longer periods. If access if awkward it can be hard to fit the handles into tight spaces and get your hand onto both handles to grip etc. They are also expensive to buy. A handy tool to have however. Typical Knipex quality and build, made in Germany.

I bought my first pair of these one Ebay (the 250mm pair) as i got a voucher for £30 off and strangely enough i bought my second pair of Amazon (the 180mm) but both pair from the same supplier XPN1 (who are good and gave a competitive price) Back to the tools, when the 10" or 250mm version arrived i thought this is some tool and maybe i should have got the smaller version ( trust me these are well built ) so i ordered the 7" or 180mm and when it arrived i wasn't disappointed and was glad i had bought both pair. To cut a long story short there is a big difference between the two even if it is only 70mm on paper but ones for the pocket (make your mind up as to which one and the other can do it all just on a bigger scale) personally i would get the 250mm and the 180mm as they cover everything. the 150mm is more fore your tech guys who were bumbags (only joking) whatever pair u get you won't be disappointed hope this helps

Better than pliers and quicker than an adjustable wrench. Such a versatile tool. Grips well and is comfortable in the hand. It now is a permanent carry along with a tape, pencil, knife and screwdriver. It has effectively replaced my multitool
