Very expensive mistake. Hasn’t stopped my dog from eating her poo.

Expensive but worthwhile
Although it's expensive, it does the job. You do have to keep using it though. It also makes the 'poo' smell awful for us humans when picking up!!!!

Didn't work with our puppy
Did not stop him eating his poo at all. Have puppy it for 5 days, no result. Tried another 5 days still no results. Could be that it works for some dogs not others but very expensive for finding out it doesn't work.

Can have unwanted side effects.
Treated my dog with the preparation for a week and he became increasingly hyperactive, he is a Dachshund and believe me you do not want a hyperactive Dachshund, I analysed what could be the source of his hyperactivity and came to the conclusion that the cause was sodium glutamate which is a constituent of the For-Bid. Stopped treating and his behaviour returned to normal, unfortunately he still eats his poo but on balance that is much more preferable than hyperactive behaviour.

Good short term
Only helped very short term even though I have to all my dogs.

I can't recommend
Unfortunately I didn't get chance to see if the powder worked. I gave my 5 month old puppy a 1/4 teaspoon to try it and he got terrible diarrhoea. It is £24 wasted and because he was so ill with it i wasn't chancing it again. He weighs 4kg so the dose i gave him was well within recommendation.

Excellent product! Stopped our pup from eating his own frozen dog poop in our yard during the winter. Only needed to use it about 4 times and he stopped doing that nasty stuff.

So, I think that I can safely assume that this product does indeed make the poop taste terrible. However, it really backfires because, as I sort of suspected would be the case, it also makes the food taste terrible. So, it just teaches the dog to choke down the product in order to eat their dinner, which would only accustom them to the taste and I don't see how it could be an effective deterrent overall. I think that it could work quite well if the dog is eating poop later, but in my case, I pick up all poops immediately. My dog was pooping, turning around and immediately eating it before I could get it scooped up and thrown away in the trash (or flushed down the toilet). But if your situation is different from mine, and you can sprinkle this product on poop to prevent the dog from eating it later on (in which case it seems easier to just pick up the poop anyway), then this could be an effective deterrent. But apart from putting it into capsules and feeding it to the dog that way, I don't see how feeding it to the dog orally would deter them from eating poop later with the product in it. I actually did consider getting some empty capsules and doing just that, because I do think that could work quite well. She really was obviously choking down her food with the product sprinkled on it as directed, so the taste is obviously quite awful. But teaching them to tolerate that taste seems counterproductive. And sort of mean.

Altered my 1 star review to 3 stars only because the seller offered a full refund based on me saying it didn’t work - I know this has worked for some pups, just not mine, but customer service is stellar so what do you have to lose?? After 2.5 weeks of regular use, I’m sad to say this isn’t working at all. The vet recommended it and I was super hopeful but no such luck, she still tries to eat her own poop the second it comes out of her.

To be fair, they state it won't work if it's a behavioral issue. We got zero results. Pros: Our dog had no side effects & ate For-Bid twice a day for 2 weeks. Cons: Cost. Pouches are foil-lined paper so you have to fold the top & reuse them several times for a small dog.
