I used some black electrical tape to hold the USB cable to it as it wasn’t a solid connection, and I don’t need to open it again as is permanently connected to the laptop which is on a vertical stand. So far it works for charging and transferring data for the display, the claim of 40Gbps I’m not sure of, have not had a chance to test it. Charging and data seem OK but my monitor needs to resync the signal a few times per minute, giving several seconds of black screen.
