I like lots of pictures, and this guide is chock full of pictures of the major sites in Amsterdam. If you want a text based guide, other books might be better for you, but I am a picture person. I love this guide!!

The book is well organized with maps and highlights. Most especially helpful are the sections on Before You Go and the different itineraries by the lengths of time.
