I had been using a 4" online fan with a step down adapter I 3d printed. It worked, but wasn't the. Greatest and certainly wasn't quiet. This usit with the control panel and sensor was a nice upgrade. Mind you, it's primarily plastic, time will tell how well it holds up, but for the price paid, it's a sound investment. I mounted it behind the laser on the cart I built for it, connected right up with the ducting (separate purchase, same brand) and ran without any problems. I was impressed with the airflow, but moreso the lack of noise. It's literally 30% quite or more than the old style in line fan I was using.
