I can tell you I hooked the Pro version like this to my Dtv. the hdmi out to the tv next to it. the Cat 6 (don't use cat 5) to a cat splitter, and then ran 2 Cat 6 cables 100 ft to different recievers and it worked great. I have main tv with dtv and sender on patio, and then a tv by the pool and another by the hot tub, and run the same signal so I can be in any of the 3 locations and watch tv. Long answer yes to multiple recievers with 1 sender just need to buy it twice, unsure on switch but because I bought just a Cat 6 splitter, I'm sure that should work as well. **Q: Has anyone have issues with the TV going out intermittently.?** A: I have, I think the issue could be the resolution. Restarting them while the main TV is off solves the problem for a while. **Q: Will this work with cat5 or cat5e? I have a run about 60m max and 40m min. Control room to projector.** A: Initially I had a cat 5 run that was around 150 feet, it ran through conduit to a secondary building. I later upgraded this wire to cat 6 but not for any reason other than I changed and expanded the entire house.I am thinking it will work fine, but will most likely depend on how much interference the line encounters between the source and the destination.If there is little electrical conflicts and not bad bends in the wire it will probably be fine.I have around 20 of these devices working in my house and the device is very reliable. **Q: My cable box shows an error when the hdmi tv is off. it shows on the rca video output. will this extender keep the hdmi active when the tv is off?** A: Does your cable box have an RCA interface? If you need more help, please contact us at support@imypin.com ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works on CAT 5 screened cable-50m *by A***R on 13 June 2016* I initially installed these unit on a 3 metre CAT 5 patch lead to test the units. At first I had a few issues getting the units to display video reliably but after pressing the reset button on the transmit and receiving unit a couple of times every thing was fine. I then ran just under 50m of CAT 5 screened cable and 50m of CAT 6 screened cable from my sky box to the TV in my office. I connected the CAT 5 screened cable expecting the units not to work as the cable was not to specification but it worked perfectly. The unit has been working on the CAT 5 cable for two days now with a perfect picture and IR remote operation. Still haven't tested the units on the CAT 6 cable but I would expect it to work. If you are going to use CAT 6 cable be forewarned that the connectors are not the same as the CAT 5 connectors as the conductors are of a heavier gauge of wire.UPDATE-Tested on 50m CAT 6 cable with Sky box, worked well. Tested CAT 6 cable again but with a 1080i and 1080p signal from a WD media player, neither worked but the 720 mode worker fine. The Sky box worked in 720 and 1080i modes not sure why either is a discrepancy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for the price *by A***E on 31 August 2022* I use it to broadcast AV over ethernet.A distance of around 30m, works with no problem and no drop outs.I tried others which claimed to work, but didn't.Note this is a genetic model, there are many that may have better pictures,but are the same device just badged differently. I ordered a few to try and test, they all came it the same sized box, same internal setup in the box, only a different sticker!Great value, would definitely buy again if needed another. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but could be better!! *by T***Y on 22 September 2017* They Work well!Sending my Xbox One to my summer house from the AV cabinet about 25mWorks fine at 720p however the minute the Xbox is set to 1080p I get audio crackling and the picture drops out every 30 seconds or so.I am using 100% copper Ethernet cable which conforms to CAT6 standards. I am an IT professional so I know what I am doing but cannot get them to run at 1080p.I even tried it with a 2m cable and still get the dropout when set to 1080p..
