**Q: What is the total diameter of this item?  If it's 2.125" from one edge to the other, it's too small for my purposes.**
A: This is a standard size for bathroom sinks in the US. I measured just the opening of the drain, which is 1 3/8ths

**Q: Is the strainer section wire mesh or stainless metal line regular sink strainer?**
A: It is not mesh and water does not drain well through it.  Used in bathroom vanity sink and it did not work well for a sink that you would want to drain quickly.  It’s like having a clogged sink.

**Q: What is the country of origin of this product?**
A: I'm am not sure on origin. Still good product.

**Q: Will this strainer stop spaghetti from going down the drain?**
A: I don’t cook spaghetti, but it does stop much smaller debris than that from going down the drain. Water flow will slow if too much spaghetti is in it, so you need to move the debris around to let the water flow through. I like my strainer. It’s also easy to clean.

At first I thought it might be too big, but it fits perfectly. It actually drains better than the drain plug that I had. Now I can't fill the sink, but I never needed to do this. It's very sturdy and looks good.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have a love/hate relationship with these

After our guest bathroom's sink drainplug broke, we spent a long time looking for a replacement, but unable to find a suitable (inexpensive and easy to install) replacement, our sink sat wide open, yearning for all your precious rings and mouth appliances and fountain pen nibs. So I finally bought these.They fit and blend in perfectly, and are really easy to get in and out. They are so good at catching hair and stuff that we also replaced the drain plug in the master bath (since the set came with 2), because we were having to clean out that drain every 4-6 months regularly.However....They catch stuff.They don't look like they would catch so much stuff. I mean, hair, yes, we expected that. My hair, my husband's hair, the hair from the cats.But it doesn't stop there.They also catch towel lint, and [WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT] bits of food and toothpaste globs and stuff you cough up when you're sick. The holes seem so much bigger until you literally have to clean it out every 2-3 days (and we don't even have kids!) and you have to {gag} touch it. Maybe you have more manual dexterity than I do and can manipulate a paper towel in there with industrial strength latex gloves on, but I am not that nimble, so I try to clean it out faster before it gets to the gag stage, because I am 100% positive that if I gagged too much, that would get caught by this, too.So...just be aware. They work a little too well.
