Pleasantly surprised at the quality
Wow these are excellent. I was a little hesitant about some of the reviews here but after revieving them I don't agree with any of the negative reviews at all. These are very nice quality. Very nicely cut and shaped teeth. They go from maller to larger in width as well. What I was most surprised about an extremely happy about was the opening spring it has on it! Somehow that is completely missed in entire description of the item and I didn't see a single reviewer mention the spring. Not having a spring is pretty much a deal breaker for me especially if you know you are going to do many crimps in one session. Having to manually open a set of pliers after every time you close it is what kills your hand and drains the strength from your grip the fastest. Now I was really second guessing myself buying these because I went into them thinking they didn't have an opening spring and I normally won't buy a set of pliers without one but these were still the best option for me at the time. When I got them I was very pleased to unlock the or the first time and they went flying open. Thank th Lord all mighty lol what a gift. The grips on these are some of the most comfortable grips I've felt on pliers and I've had all the big brands. Knipex , engineer, you name it but wow these are very comfortable to hold and even more comfortable to operate thanks in big part to the opening spring. I have a ton of crimping to do on a ton of very small jst style crimps so you can imagine how relieved I am to have that opening spring. 10/10

Okay crimper for the price, but not consistant.
I bought this crimper in a bind to crimp molex mini 3.0 pins. Overall, it gets the job done but the thickness of the material that contacts the pin is almost 2/3 smaller than the crimp flap so you end up having to crimp down multiple times to get a clean crimp. In worse cases, the crimp will work its way out of the guide and ruin your crimp. The spring on the tool seems unnecessary as this is not a latching crimper, but I am sure some would want this feature, but even so, the spring is weak and flimsy. This tool will work if you need something cheap when in a bind and has next day shipping. Otherwise, for maybe 20$ more you can get a decent crimper that is consistent and reliable.

Finicky to use, it makes good crimps when used properly. Learning to use it properly is a bit of an adventure.

Works well.

The jaw split open when applying pressure, twisting the crimp. Didn't do the job.
