Samsung Galaxy Tab A T550

Spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews on various tablet devices, having never owned one before I wanted to make sure I made a well informed decision. I decided to go with this device and I am very pleased I did. It is a very well made device and the spec are excellent when compared to the price, it is great value. I find the 16gb internal storage a little small and so very easy to fill depending on the apps, games, pictures/videos you have on the device. Thankfully this device enables you to expand the storage by adding a microSD card upto 128gb, I only went for a 64gb but find it ample size for me. The screen is amazing and covers a vast range of beautiful colours, especially nice for watching films on the go. It is a nice thin light weight device even when in a protective case. Battery life is good depending on the usage.

Very reasonable price for a great tablet. It arrived carefully packaged and well presented in the box surrounded by bubble wrap. There was a 50% charge in the battery already so it was possible to set it up immediately. I left the tablet on stand by when not using it and it took a week for the battery to run down (I do not use the tablet all the time, but downloading and upgrading apps etc and watching You Tube video's and writing many emails, the battery still lasted far longer than I expected). It does not come with a screen protector, but these are readily available on Amazon; I bought a pack of 5 TECHGEAR® Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 Inch (SM-T550 / SM-T551 / SM-T555) ULTRA CLEAR LCD Screen Protector Guard Covers With Screen Cleaning Cloth & Application Card, which are perfect for this.

I bought this to replace a first generation ipad. It is slimline, very fast and has a nice clear screen. I also like the fact that it is compatible with other android devices and Microsoft software. No memory issues as yet but I have bought an SD card to use if and when needed. It is not as pleasing to the touch as the new I Padstow but it is perfectly and accordingly priced by comparison.

The product has been fine, screen quality initially a bit of a flag; but over time you adapt to it. I thought initially it could be better, the screen quality, but I actually think it's ok now. otherwise it's a very decent tablet for the money I'd say. I bought it new, and the security tag had been opened so I didn't like that; but that's more on the part of the vendor than the product.

Got this as I had a 7" one that is too small for me now and though I was concerned that it might be a bit big going from a 7" to a 9.7" was going to feel unwieldy I was pleasently surprised as it was a lot lighter than I expected even in the case I bought to go with it. It was easy to set up as even though it came with Spanish language setting I was able to change it to English (UK) very easily not only that, I was able to transfer most of my files from my old tablet to this one so my apps were transferred rather than me having to reinstall them and it updated straight away and far faster than my old tablet, it also starts up much faster - about as fast as my Samsung Galaxy phone. The screen is very clear and the touch screen works perfectly though the predictive text is a bit of a pain but show me one that isn't lol, but I can live with it :-) I've only been using it for a day but I'm very happy with it and now I can touch type making it easier for me to type this review - yay, I'm a happy bunny :-). I think I won't be buying another one until this one dies - sorry Amazon ;-). If you get the impression that I love this tablet, you're right, and at under £200 you can't go wrong

This item was purchased as a Birthday present for my husband. It arrived early, as the outer package had been damaged, I checked the item. The inner package was also torn, but the cardboard box containing the Tablet was fine, and the Tablet itself seem ok. I wrapped it up and gave it to my husband a couple of weeks later. The worst thing he said was the lack of information and instructions, so had to go online and print them out. Luckily, he is not a stranger to computers etc, but he is taking chemo which does not help his memory, so it was a struggle to get it going. He is still learning his way around the Tablet, but so far is finding it interesting. He has taken photographs with it, and has been pleased with the results. It's easy to carry it around, so far he is fairly happy.

Having become completely fed up with my 2013 nexus touch screen, this Samsung is absolutely brilliant with a really clear screen, and a battery which lasts me several days. Being a 9.7in tablet, the keyboard is a joy to use, and using it in portrait means you get a lot of easily readable content on one page. Google voice activated search is also amazing. Altogether it looks cool and no negatives as yet!

Fabulous! Afraid I am a bit of a geek and NOT an Apple fan; although Apple is a good solution for some people, I prefer to be more in control and not to be "nannied". I have had a lot of Samsung kit before and this tablet performs well and, for me, represents excellent value for money. You have to pay more for the Galaxy S, but ask yourself "do I really need an 8-way processor and UHD display?" - I didn't so this is just perfect.

Compramos 2 para nuestros hijos con un amigo, llegaron perfectamente antes de navidad, son rapidas, no se traban en el uso, buena pantalla para rematar les pusimos una buena funda de poliuretano de proteccion mas el cristal templado=> Excelente nuvel de tablet para rato, los niños las utilizan todo el dia, la bateria aguanta el wifi y los juegos continuos perfectamente. Tambien la utilizaremos para ver pelis en los viajes en autocaravana con lo que esperare a que las microsd de 128 gb esten a buen precio y tansformarlas en un videoclub andante. Genial Amazon, genial Samsung.

Ich habe mir dieses Tablet vor wenigen Tagen gekauft und nutze es hauptsächlich für Soziale Netzwerke, Surfen, Nachrichten und Videos. Bei diesen Bereichen konnte ich bis jetzt nicht ein Problem feststellen, alles verlief zu meiner vollkommenen Zufriedenheit. Hier ist noch einmal eine kleine Bewertung des Tablets in verschiedenen Kategorien: Verarbeitung: Das Tablet ist super verarbeitet und liegt auch in einer Hand noch gut, sodass eine längere Nutzung möglich ist, auch wenn es gehalten werden muss. Ich habe die schwarze Version genommen, was man leider auch auf der Rückseite sieht. Wischt man diese nicht ab, bemerkt man nach kurzer Zeit dort Fingerabdrücke denn das Material der Rückseite saugt diese förmlich auf. An der rechten Seite ist der An/Aus Knopf über den Lautstäre Tasten platziert, welche sich alle sehr gut vom restlichen Tablet abheben und leicht zu nutzen sind. Der Homebutton ist Samsung typisch eine richtige Taste, Multitasking und Zurück Taste dagegen Soft-Keys. Insgesamt betrachtet kann man also von einem sehr sauber verarbeitetem Tablet sprechen. Software: Die von Samsung aus vorinstallierte Android Version ist Lollipop 5.0.2 und diese läuft durchgehend flüssig. Die Apps öffnen sich sofort nachdem man diese gedrückt hat und laufen auch dann ruckelfrei. Das ganze Design der Oberfläche wirkt sehr aufgeräumt und nicht wie bei vorherigen Android Versionen von Samsung unübersichtlich - ein klares Lob für die Umsetzung. Die vorinstallierten Apps von Samsung und Google sind auch dazu sehr gut gestaltet, nichts wirkt sonderlich überladen. Neben der klassischen vorinstallierten Werbesoftware (CEWE, Zalando usw.) ist hier auch noch ein Office Paket drauf welches sich gut nutzen lässt um kurze Texte zu tippen. Für längere sollte man vermutlich eine richtige Tastatur nutzen. Zusammenfassend kann man also ein klares Lob für die hier arbeitende Software aussprechen. Hardware: Das Display ist (wie bereits durch andere erwähnt) nicht vergleichbar mit dem Display eines iPad Air. Aber das muss es auch gar nicht sein. Die Farben werden sehr schön wiedergegeben und zum Lesen eignet es sich auch hervorragend. Obwohl keine HD Auflösung vorhanden ist (man weiß es tatsächlich vorher), stört dies nicht. Pixel lassen sich zwar leicht erkennen aber es gibt schlimmeres und man weiß das bevor man sich das Tablet kauft. Ein 9,7'' Display im Format des iPad Air 2 ist dazu eine super Veränderung im Vergleich zum Vorgänger dem Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. Der Akku hält mehrere Stunden Nutzung aus und lädt schnell, hier gibt es keine Probleme. Die Kameras sind nicht das Beste was es derzeit auf dem Markt gibt - Wer mit seinem Tablet gute Fotos machen will ist also hier falsch aufgehoben. Für Menschen die gelegentlich einen Schnappschuss machen wollen reichen die Kameras jedoch vollkommen aus. Durch den erweiterbaren Speicher ist der bereits vorhandene keineswegs eine Einschränkung denn diesen muss man erst mal vollbekommen. Musik, Videos usw. lassen sich dann natürlich auslagern. Lieferumfang: Geliefert wird das Tablet in einem schönen blauen Karton, zusammen mit einem Ladekabel, Ladestecker und der üblichen Lektüre, hier gibt es also nichts aufregendes. Anschlüsse/Konnektivität Geladen wird das Tablet über Micro-USB wie bei Android typisch. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth und GPS sind auch an Bord und funktionieren tadellos. Von mir gibt es abschließend eine klare Kaufempfehlung obwohl es 279€ kostet. Es ist zwar ein happiger Preis, aber man bekommt wirklich etwas für sein Geld, das sich lohnt. Als Alternative gibt es das Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 zu einem günstigeren Preis von 204€, auch gut ausgestattet. Ich würde dennoch sagen die 80€ mehr lohnen sich, denn es ist die aktuellere Version die deutliche Vorteile mit sich bringt. Ich hoffe ich konnte mit dieser Rezension ein wenig weiterhelfen und wünsche viel Erfolg bei der Entscheidungsfindung!

I was seeking a tablet with OTG capabilities, it turns out the screen is .3inches smaller than the minimum for my requirements. I wish I had bought the big screen laptop instead, but I am relatively happy with the device
