Important to clean out housing
I was replacing the axle seals on my 08 Rubicon and the old connector broke when taking it apart. Apparently is a common issue. I had a difficult time getting this connector into the housing. I put some grease on it and tried rotating it and pushing it in and eventually I was able to get it seated. It was very tight and didn't feel like it wanted to go in. I pulled it back out. What I discovered was that a ring of rust had formed right around the top of the housing above where the o-ring sits. I used a small round wire brush to clean the rust out of the housing. After that, with some grease, the connector pushed into the housing much easier.

Fits Nissan Frontier M226 with e-locker
If you have an M226 rear differential in your Nissan Frontier this sensor will also work. The 12 bolt cover plate is the easiest way to know if your Nissan Frontier has the M226 rear differential. This sensor fit my 2018 Frontier Pro-4X perfectly. The sensor fits super snug just the like OEM sensor does at a fraction of the cost. My OEM e-locker works flawlessly again.

When i removed my OEM diff connector, it was a had a good rubber seal. When i installed this one, it seemed to fit good. Driving in 2WD, no problem. But once i using 4WD , and not even the front locker on, i had diff oil bubbling out and getting sprayed all over underneath. This happened about 10 miles out of town on a trail. So once home, i carefully pryed out this connector, surrounded the rubber O ring area with black RTV sealant and reinstalled it. Waited 2 days. Then tried it in 4WD with no leaks! Thank goodness. OEM/Mopar would be better.
