2 x Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo

This is a fantastic product, I'm so happy with the results that I'll never bother with another brand again! I lost a significant amount of my hair after my mother died, and this shampoo was recommended by my hairdresser to me. I'm delighted with the results, and so is she! Item arrived well before the due date, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seller to anyone.

I perceived an increase hair loss some months ago. Probably due to some bad food habits I think. Once I started using the shampoo and also a special hair conditioner the hair loss reduced significately. First results I noticed about 2 weeks after the first wash. It does not irritate or burn the scalp at all and skin feels refreshed after each wash. I like it.

If you consider this as an expensive, pleasant smelling shampoo that causes a tingling sensation on the top of your scalp if you leave it on for a minute or two (as recommended by Alpecin), then you won't be disappointed. However, if you expect it to do anything about hair loss, then you will. Initially it actually accelerates hair loss in the area of concern, as the older hairs fall out and go into the telegen stage. Later these regrow, but there was no noticeable additional growth to cover my area of thinning. And I used the shampoo for over a year, so I gave it a good trial. I've tried a number of products, diets and even massage to stop thinning, including steroidal solution. But the only one that has shown any affect is high strength minoxidil. And even that is slow to act and of limited effectiveness.

I have seen really good results with this product. Only after a month of use I noticed my hair was a lot thicker. At such a good price I can afford to use it everyday and a little goes a long way.

Have been using for around 3 years and my mild hair loss hasn't got much worse in that time, hard to say how much of an impact it's having but I do trust German engineering ;)

Did nothing for me. I thought it was an absolute waste of money and think some of the five star reviews might be a bit dodgy and do not believe them. Save your money and buy some propecia and regaine if you want to stop male hairloss

In the last few years my hair has started to gradually thin. I was looking for reasonable ways to slow or stop the process and have tried several shampoos that allege to stop hair loss or regrow hair. My overall favorite is Ultrax Labs "Hair Surge Caffeine Hair Loss Growth Stimulating Shampoo" but it is extremely expensive. While looking for more reasonably priced alternatives I came upon Alpecin CI Caffeine Shampoo and I really like it. I can't honestly claim that I have seen noteworthy hair regrow or a lustrous mane of hair sprout from my scalp, but I can say that my hair seems fuller and I notice less hair being shed since using this shampoo. The product is made in Germany and comes in a 250 ml bottle of an unusual shape. I only mention the shape of the bottle because the plastic is rather thick, and when you get close to the end of the bottle it is difficult to squeeze effectively to get the balance of the shampoo out. Note that it is available in single and two-bottle packs and that buying two is normally the better deal. Application is simple and similar to other caffeine shampoos: rub it in well then leave it on for two minutes then rinse. The product has a pleasant neutral scent and lathers very well. There are definitely more expensive caffeine shampoos on the market, but Alpecin C1 works as well (or nearly as well, anyway) as the other products I have used at a very reasonable price. I think this is a very good product and a great value. I am reordering more.
