Hi, can I use this tool to punch hole and/or clamp grommet to material - I’m trying to convert pencil pleat to eyelet

Yes you can , just take the heading tape of and buy the heading tape and stitch it on and use the hole punch and eyelets and you have a diffrent pair of curtains I did this with my pencil pleats and I was over the moon with the finished product good luck .

Hi. Does 100 sets of grommets mean you have enough for 100 eyelets or do you pair them to make 50? Thanks

They are actually for 100 eyelets, not 50. There are 100 for the outside ring and 100 for the inside.

could this tool be used for curtains with blackout lining? thank you

I used this item to go through very thick tartan material and lining. Tool is sharp. I've used on all curtains in my house.

Is this tool just designed to punch ones and n material or does it clamp the grommet to the material. Also can it be used on pencil pleat curtains.

It punches the holes through the material and compresses the rings into position. It is not suitable for curtains with a pleated heading.
