Very sharp, very useful, very expensive!
You get what you pay for here. Years ago, I bought an Old Timer Splinter (240T) on the cheap. It was very dull, and even after I sharpened all the tools, it was a pain to use. I own some Flexcut carving knives, which are extremely sharp, so I decided to try the Flexcut Carving Jack 2.0. What a difference quality manufacturing, materials, design, and finishing make. Every tool is razor sharp, and the geometry as well as the locking mechanism make it a pleasure to use right out of the box. It's not cheap, but it packs several carving tools in an easy-to-carry package. If you don't want to travel with a tool roll but still want to be able to carve, this is your best bet. 5 stars for the balance of usability and portability.

Good grip and blades. Blades lock in place.
I like it. Had one before and lost it. This one has a good aluminum grip. Blades pull/push out without binding. Very sharp. Be aware that this is just high carbon steel and it will rust. Best value that I have seen so far.

Quality product, fast cross-border service
Unfortunately I cannot comment on use of the knife itself- it was a gift for someone else. It looks very well made though. No side to side play in blades. Extremely sharp and includes perfectly clear instructions on how to use and sharpen the knife. Also, it fits well in small to mid size hand because it is well contoured and not too bulky. I had the knife shipped from USA to Canada just before Christmas and it made it to my door in about a week. No extra duty charge, just provincial sales tax (Ontario) The knife is expensive but the quality seems to be outstanding. I’m happy with the choice.

Its awesome extreme usable high quality, effective.
Its awesome: extreme usable high quality, effective, relatively much safer than other similar designs. Its durable, comes with custom strop board. Carves easily with control. Fits in hand nicely for using each blade. Its well engineered and executed effectively. Its cool AF looking and functional AF too! It is the best of its kind in the World and you can own it for a very reasonable price. Its got S Tons of value really. As the finest of gifts perhaps to someone who could appreciate it.

Better than expected
This is a great little knife. I was expecting having to deal with some minor issues such as angles when carving and difficulty in opening some of the blades as past reviewers have mentioned. Neither of those two has been an issue. The lock back feature feels very secure, not enough is said about it either. It's a really nice feature. The strop block that's included is also a really great little extra, although I didn't need it right away because this thing comes razor sharp out of the box. The sheath is nice thick leather and fits the knife well. I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again.

Incredibly useful for whittling. I'm a beginner too
I just started whittling a month ago and I decided to get this to whittle little animals for my young kid. This is incredible sharp and well built. No hand fatigue. I'm very happy with it. Pricey, but worth it if you really want to take the hobby up a notch or have the money to blow, it starts you out fully equipped to see if you like whittling.

High quality made in USA
I have lots of Flexcut tools and I love the fact that they’re made in the US. This tool is of excellent quality and all blades lock up tight and are very sharp. I think though that it’s a bit overpriced but for a high quality tool I can live with that.

Fantastic blades, wonderful accessories!
All of the blades are razor sharp and have long bevels for clean cuts. I was expecting to only receive the multi tool, but included in this purchase is a leather tool case, a strop with shapes specifically for each tool, and a yellow stropping compound. The locking quality on the blades are great and the multi tool has very good grip.

I love flexcut knives and gouges and wanted something to take with me into the bush, to test timber im finding, and a bit of general carving on the run, thought this would be perfect. It is handy, BUT, dont expect this to lock into place crisply like your Spyderco or Benchmade. The poorly designed lock on this leaves all the blades with a big amount of up and down free play when in the open locked position. Measured from the tip of the blades we are talking 3-4mm movement which is a lot imo,(I just measured it) way too much for a knife this expensive and for a wood carving knife, its a very sloppy and poor locking design from Flexcut, which is unusual for them from my experience. You dont want your blades moving around up and down while carving. There is zero side to side play and has an adjustable torque bolt to tighten it if it becomes loose, so at least thats a nice upgrade over the last model. I own thousands of dollars worth of Flexcut gear, its my favourite carving gear, and ive come to expect pretty high quality as far as non custom knives and chisels go. The quality of build of this knife is pretty good, feels as good in the hand as a carving jack can with this many blades, it has nicely machined alloy scales, nice quality sheath too, blades are all high quality and the usual flexcut sharp, but the play in the blades will be a deal breaker for many. Ive read of others with the same issue so I dont think its isolated. The lock seems more of a safety feature than to lock the blade in place. Flexcut have disappointed me here. I live over the other side of the world to flexcut, its probably not worth me sending it back as they will probably tell me its within spec and I won't have the knife for a year going by a few reports ive read. Hope my review helped you, happy Carvin and cheers.
