I almost finished it on Christmas Eve, after the festivities, because I found myself addicted to the story and the characters. I needed to know what happens to everyone. Lisa Jewell's novel "None of this is True" is a page-turner. It's a good story set in an interesting place, with intriguing characters, told in a unique format. While she told the story from various perspectives, the idea of the additional perspective of a true-crime podcast turned into a Netflix doc series put it over the top. I could imagine people binge-watching this series and talking about it at work the next day. I include myself in that category (I would still want to read the book about the crime, though; got to preserve my writer cred). I'm not the most effective book-reviewer, though. I'm more of a book-fan, and I get excited about a good story. As a writer I appreciate what it takes to write a page-turner that never gets bogged down but develops the characters while keeping the story moving, all the while keeping me dialed in to what happens next... and next... and next... As a fan of good books, I would definitely recommend adding this one to your list and giving it a read. As a reviewer, this book rocks. Was that reviewer-like? I don't know...
