OXO Good Grips Cast Iron Scrub Brush​

This is my favorite scrubber! Works on cast iron, works on nonstick surfaces. Short handle so I feel like I can really get into the mess and get it clean. The scraper edge does a great job, too. Very glad I have it! Bristles are very stiff and strong.

I was skeptical of this little brush because so many others have been disappointing, but I actually really like it. The short, stubby bristles make it so food doesn’t get trapped in there as easily, and gives a firm scrub. Works great on our cast iron skillets and seems like it will have some longevity!

Makes cleaning your cast iron pots and pans So Easy! Highly recommend! Let’s the pan develop a great seasoning. The handle gives a solid grip, bristles are perfect and scrapper is a great idea. OXO tools are always so well thought out and constructed.

The plastic bristles are very short, which means they're effectively stiffer and don't get splayed out and useless if you push down hard. It reminds me of how my dad would cut down the bristles on an old toothbrush for cleaning small parts. This brush can handle some jobs with just water and dish soap that would otherwise have required reaching under the counter for the strong stuff, but it doesn't have the downsides of harder scrubbers in this same tier, like a heavy duty Scotch-Brite pad that can scratch certain materials. As the product title says, it's great for cast iron. The handle on this brush is quite short, which helps you not to lose force to a long lever arm, but requires taking care not to hurt your hands. I scraped my knuckles a few times on the sides of a frying pan before I learned this. The same care must apply to anything with a cutting edge, because your fingers are right in there. I use a longer-handled and longer-bristled brush to clean knives and graters. I got a second one to throw in with my camp kitchen tools, because it's compact and effective but not flimsy like the usual "camping" tools.

I bought my first cast iron grill and immediately realized I needed a way to clean it. I bought this and it is heavy duty. It’s small but durable and sturdy. I use it almost everyday and the only place that is showing wear is the plastic side scraper. That could be a better design. It’s plastic instead of a material that wouldn’t break down after each use. But overall I am very happy with it and it works well to clean cast iron without damaging the surface.

This is pretty good little brush at a good price. I like the fact that the bristles are tough enough to clean well, the short, stubby handle makes it easy to use, and I don't have to worry about it rusting over time. The scraper tip doesn't work for my pan - it's a griddle-skillet, with ridges to allow the grease to accumulate at the bottom of the pan and away from the meat. And my pan is square, so there's very little in the way of flat surfaces to be scraped. But there are corners, so I'm in it for those tough little bristles. Before I got this scrub brush, I kept my griddle at the back of the cabinet because whenever I thought about using it, I'd remember how hard it was to clean and then choose another pan instead. Well, my griddle is back at the front of the cabinet again. I've used this brush twice, and I plan to use it a lot more often. It really does a very good job.

PRO - just the right bristle strength - cleans the cast iron skillet, but doesn't remove the seasoning like other brushes do. CON - difficult to clean into the "corners", where the base and walls meet - edge of brush head could use a better design.

I'm surprised this thing held up. It's a great brush to clean my serrated cast iron pan and other kitchenware. I've used brushes in the past that would lose their hair but this one has been holding sturdy for a few months. Keep in mind that I only use it about twice a week but give it a good workout, your mileage may vary.

Works really well and effectively although smaller than I expected it's easy to use, but only use on cool bbq grill or griddle.

Product was as described. Works great on the Lodge pan. Has a hard scrapper both the edge for heavier cleaning. Would recommend
