Perfect mount for a bird feeder
I was looking for a mount that I could use to attach a pole to our deck, the previous mount was too flimsy, this one is thicker steel and holds the bird feeder perfectly. There is a slight wobble in strong winds, but I think that is more to do with the aluminum pole I am currently using. I bought two of these brackets thinking that I would mount one above the other for extra stability, but so far, I don’t think it will be required so I have only installed one.

Versatile support mount for antenna
I used this mount on the siding of my house at the eave to support the mid-section (1 1/2" diameter section) of a telescoping fiberglass antenna mast. This avoids the need to raise the mast out away from the house the guy wires/ropes, and the mast is held firmly. The mount is well-made with appropriate gauge metal to withstand strong forces. The base plate (mounted on the wall/house) has a versatile pattern of holes to allow most any geometry required. The antenna mount is a very standard double U-bolt that cinches down on two cross bars which have a jagged circular inner pattern to appropriately grip the attached mast to and prohibit any rotation. All hardware is included except for whatever items you need to actually screw the baseplate to the wall -- you supply that based on your installation needs.

Using in an extremely windy location.
Well made brackets. The u-bolts and associated hardware have a lot of ferrous material in them, which is easily detected with a magnet. If they are truly stainless steel, as claimed, it is a grade of stainless that will definitely show some signs of rusting with time. I live close to the ocean, so this is an important consideration for my situation. This is why I gave the brackets only 4 stars. If you don't have an environment that promotes corrosion, this may not be an issue for you. That said, this is a good product. I am using it to mount a weather station on a 4-foot long pole that I will attach to the facia at the apex of my gable-style roof. I am doubtful that a single bracket will endure the common 40-50 mph winds here on the coast (occasionally 70 mph or even more). But I do not have space on the facia to attach two brackets, even if the edges are butted against one another. But it dawned on me that I could place the mounting surface of two brackets on top of one another, as in the picture. I had to add washers between the brackets to compensate for the gap created by the gussets that serve to strengthen the 90 deg. bends. This arrangement will allow me to mount the brackets on my facia 6"-wide facia (I have reinforced the facia board with a shaped 2x6 since the facia is only 3/4" thick. I also made sure that a couple of lag bolts went into the end of ridge-line board.) Finally, I have added guy wires parallel to the direction from which the strongest winds blow. Really, mine is a worst-case situation, so most people will not need to do all of this.

Trop faible
