## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this safe to use with a dog around?**
A: I have used this product for a few years. The box says "keep children & pets away from treated areas until spray has dried". Also "Effectively moves moles from your garden". The Mole Repellent taints the soil, the moles do not like that & move away (eventually!). This does not happen overnight, but is the best product I have found to CONTROL the problem. After talking to many farmers they all agree that REMOVAL of moles entails killing them using expert labour. The advantage of using the Mole Repellent can be seen by observing mole hills on my side of the fence (treated individually as required), with mole hills on the other side of the fence (untreated). Plenty of cats use our lawns; none have showed any ill effect

**Q: Does it effect hedgehogs as I have some living in a habitat in my garden so I dont want to use anything that would drive them out of the garden.**
A: It is safe to use & doesn't cause moles any harm as it confuses their sense of smell/taste to direct them away from areas of garden. There is also another type like a bulb that you plant in, that works well also, have a look at that also.

it doesn't last for ever (lasts a good deal longer than smokes/traps/poisoned worms etc)

There are really only two ways of controlling moles effectively... this solution and the granules. They both both work in their own way, but have draw backs. This bitter powder needs to be mixed with warm water and sprinked on. It works almost immediately and pushes the moles away. No, it doesn't last for ever (lasts a good deal longer than smokes/traps/poisoned worms etc). Yes it is quite expensive. But once you've got them out of your garden you can maintain a 1m wide perimeter barrier that they will not cross. (The "Mole Repellent" granules work on a more slow release process, but are good to keep them at bay when you've moved them. About the same price, but much quicker and easier to apply). I have fought moles for 30 years, and am convinced that this is the only effective treatment. My advice is to never underestimate the mole... attack, and attack hard in the spring

Not much in the packet and not very effective

*by D***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 September 2018*

The cardboard box contained only two small sachets of repellent. The only reason I could see for the sachets being boxed was to make it appear that the pack contains more repellent that it actually had. I used it in my medium sized garden, but to treat the whole garden over a period of several days as instructed would have needed several boxes. The moles returned after the second application - perhaps I should have bought many more boxes to do the job properly.

    Mole Wars.

*by G***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 December 2015*

Living along agricultural fields (2-sides) I often get moles invading our lawn areas, especially in the mole-mating season. My preference is to discourage the moles rather than use the more successful methods of control (poison, smoke, trapping, etc.). Over the years I have read many reviews about the performance of Mole Repellents, & many of these dismiss repellents as a waste of time. I agree that the repellent does not happen overnight, but I find that it is successful over the longer term. The method I use is to treat about a 1-metre wide strip on my side of the fence. This forms a barrier which shows success due to the number of mole-hills outside the fence compared to the odd ones showing our-side of the barrier strip. These few problem moles then have to be discouraged & chased back through the barrier-strip and this is the difficult & time-consuming bit. I estimate my process gives about 80% success. If this is not good enough then my advice is to move house where the garden does not border agricultural land.
