This is the review I wish I had read.
Circle cutters: better than expected Mr. Panda book: Trash. Who is this for?! But also not why I bought this thing so what do I care? Button parts: fine Instructions: Meh. Workable with one glaring exception Machine itself: Pretty sturdy. The pre drilled holes in the base weren't placed exactly right but we managed. Customer service: Still waiting. So here's the deal. When using a metal back you have you have to place a plastic washer under the back piece. The instructions mention you need one when making the larger sized button. It never mentions that you need one to use the smaller sized metal backs also. Not only that, IT DOESN'T COME WITH THE SMALLER PLASTIC WASHER. Fully 30% of the suplies that came with the machine are worthless without a small washer. How, you may ask, can I be so certain when I still haven't received a reply from Customer service about the issue? Because I guesstimated the problem then ordered a "Circle Cutter Button Maker Machine, 5Pcs Badge Machine Gasket Badge Machine Die Matching Circle Cutter Button Maker Machine (32MM)" from amazon. Works a treat. What's probably a 30 cent part would have saved me $10, days of dissatisfaction and a dozen metal backed buttons (because I kept thinking, "Hey the other 3 button variations work fine this has to be user error.") And it would have saved Vevor from this review.

Great Button Maker / Missing Items / Terrible Customer Service
I first need to state that this is a great button maker. It's well made, easy to use and very sturdy. I'm giving it a low rating for the reason that follows.... After a few days of testing and making several of the larger sized buttons, we switched over to the smaller size and discovered that the transparent protective films for the 25MM were missing from the box. The two options through Amazon were 1) return the whole item, or 2) contact the manufacturer. Since we already used quite a few of the supplies for the larger buttons, and it was only a small pouch of films that were missing, I decided to contacted Vevor. I worked with their customer service department via chat/email. They verified my order with Amazon and offered two options; 1) The would send the missing items from their supplier overseas with an estimated 2 - 3 weeks delivery time, or 2) Return the whole thing to Amazon. As I mentioned above, I did not think that a total refund/replacement was necessary since the missing items were so small, so confirmed that I would wait for the missing films. 3 weeks later, still no replacement, but I did get an auto-generated email from Vevor stating that since they never heard from me, they would assume that the issue has been resolved and would be closing the ticket in 24 hours. I contacted them immediately and re-explained the whole ordeal. They responded with "I'm sorry that we can't contact the technical staff to reissue the accessories for you, please contact Amazon as soon as possible to refund you." So, now I'm back to square 1. I still don't feel right about returning an item that 1) I like, and 2) I have already used so much of the supplies. But I also don't think it's right that they will not work with me to find a solution. I've found that if I were to purchase the missing items, through amazon, it would run me $25+, so it looks like I have no choice but to send the whole thing back. WHAT A PAIN! And a total waste of resources.

Please do not buy, it works or it doesnt. Do you want to take the risk?
I purchased this for my class to use. It immediately didnt work (as with other reviews), even using the materials they provided didnt work. The machine has a failure rate of 80% and the buttons it does make have bubbling around the edges, please see photos attached. It says in the manual and on their website that paper between a range of 127g -159g works, FALSE. When I contacted the company over 7 emails back and forth over 2 weeks (they said the issue would be resolved in 1 to 3 days) that only the materials they offer will work and sent me 2 links for their materials on Amazon, one of the links went to a page that no longer had the materials. They also said 159g paper works, FALSE. I ordered 4 different reams of paper at a cost of app. $70.00 all within the limit, including 159g paper none worked. I also ordered buttons from 3 different companies, at a cost of almost $80.00 none worked. They refuse to return the maker and so does Amazon. I have spent almost $300.00 of my very limited classroom budget for this and they have said too bad I am out of luck. I see that several people have had similar issues. I have spent hours trying to get it to work, watched videos did all the trouble shooting. It does not work, it is NOT user error. In my experience some tools like this have such a finite work or not that thats what you get . A tool that works or doesnt. I wouldnt recommend taking the risk. Dealing with the company has been a bit of a nightmare as well. Please consider your purchase wisely, maybe it works, maybe it doesnt. If it doesnt your are out of luck. UPDATE: After weeks of back and forth the company did send me a new button maker. This one works perfectly. The whole paper weight range and all worked. I use this maker exactly like the last one. This confirms my original hypothesis that the variables on this machine are so precise that if they are off at all it does not work. So people are either getting one that works or not. I would not recommend you taking the chance. I will also say that using a heat gun on the original machine buttons smoothed out the bubbles you see in my images making them usable, a heat gun, not a hair dryer.

complete failure on 4th attempt
1st attempt, plastic back, did not work. 2nd attempt plastic back, worked great. 3rd attempt, metal back, sort of worked until the button came apart because the front didn't grab the back. 4th attempt, metal back, top stuck down in bottom and won't open. sending it back for refund to get a different one.

Don't Bother with This Machine
This VEVOR button maker was great... for about six months. Then it completely stopped working. The real issue, though, wasn't just the machine, it was the customer service. VEVOR promises a one-year warranty, but getting them to honor it is a different story. I reached out to their support team, explaining the issue and even sending a video. Their solution? A representative asked me to submit another video of me hitting the machine with a wrench. Yes, you read that right. Hitting it with a wrench. Obviously, that didn't work, and after all that, my problem was never resolved. So if you're looking for a button maker that will last and a company that stands behind its products, keep looking. This VEVOR machine is not it, and their customer service is a joke.

Unable to find additional button molds.
2 In 1 Button Maker Machine: We prepared an upgrade all-in-one button maker machine for you. It comes with 2 sizes of molds: 25mm (1 inch) & 58mm (2.25 inch). Its brand-new detachable design also allows you to replace other sizes of molds, making various button pin badges in no time. Just ordered machine but I have not been able to find out where I could order other size molds based upon it description in Amazon. Can anyone assist

cheaply made and did not work - ripoff alert
This big, heavy, expensive machine with the incoherent instructions has a rather significant point of failure: the big lever that drives the whole thing was designed with threads a different size from the socket, so trying to screw it in didn't work, the handle didn't hold, and the threads stripped off it like they were foil. GARBAGE! I'm campaigning with the manufacturer to send me a new handle, but their help line is screwy and it's not clear that a new handle will do more than repeat the problem. If not, I have a very expensive anchor and my daughter gets nothing for Christmas.

Don't waste your money or your time. Poor product and awful customer service.
It gets one star because there was no way to rate it any lower. Never got a single button to work. Followed instructions to a tee. Watched several instructional videos in case I was doing something wrong. Nope. The machine does not crimp the paper or the plastic circle around the button. I used the paper that came with the machine, so it was not the wrong kind. Went to their website for tech support to be told I'd have to wait one or two days for help. Horrible customer service. The machine is mis-aligned or something. I shouldn't have to trouble shoot alignment etc on a brand new out of the box product. Very very disappointed.

Good quality machine and works really well. Love that it came with pins ready to make. Quick shipping and great communication.

So Far, Good.
I just unboxed the machine tonight! Never made a button in my life, but 14 were perfectly made an hour ago, took about 20 minutes and no failures. I do prefer the metal pin backs. The instructions STINK! Watch a video a few times. The right and left have been transposed on my maker and be mindful of your image direction and pinback linining up. The mylar hates to separate and it seems to collect debris. This one came new and complete! I had to return a button maker from a competitor that arrived minus the lever, cutter and had been clearly returned as the " extras" box was open. And it was $300+ model. The Mylar is prone to being dirty and you have to watch to grab one sheet ( they stick). Will update if it goes south!

I don't know about other machines but very happy with mine.
Many of the reviews suggested these button makers don't work properly for one reason or another but I decided to take a chance. It is a present for my daughter to make buttons for the netball team she coaches so I thought I should test it before I pass it on. I had a quick read of the instructions. Reading instructions first is new to me! It looked solid and well made but when I came to assemble it, the machine didn't sit flat on the base. I placed it on some course sandpaper and it didn't take long to overcome that. The holes in the base of the unit didn't quite line up with those in the plate but a slight adjustment fixed that too. I could have succeeded without the adjustments but was happier knowing it was a solid mounting. From what I had read about others, I was expecting to have to make several to get one good one so I just put the parts in the machine, pulled down the handle for the first step, then the second and I had a completed badge that looked quite professional. Maybe that is the only one that will work but I assume that success will continue. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Professionale
