How often should these be replaced, and what part of the hearing aid are they actually protecting? Do hearing aids get wet?

Hi, I assume you have a Phonac Drying Box. The Phonak capsules should last for 14 days if used daily. The colour changes from deep yellow/amber to very pale yellow. I was advised to dry the aids nightly as I sweat more, being a diabetic. If there is more than normal moisture about, then certainly dry nightly. It's a good idea to do this anyway. I think it is the amplifying unit that is affected. John.
