A.Vogel Bambu Organic Chicory Coffee Alternative, 100g

This is by far the best instant Chicory I have tried. I really enjoy drinking coffee, but have been trying to cut down. The A Vogel Bambu is flavourful and rich. It dissolves easily and doesn't leave residue at the bottom of your cup. I have actually on occasion forgotten that it's not instant coffee.This is now a staple in my house, and at the price, it's good value for money.

I wanted a different drink to coffee and gave this a try. It has a lovely mellow flavour but can vary the strength to suit your taste. I don't usually have sugar in my drinks, but added honey. A lovely alternative to coffee.

Tastes very nice and you dont need a lot to make a decent tasting coffee alternative. However I was surprised to discover that it contains ACORNS which are not normally for human consumption although to be fair acorns are only 1%. The next day I had a stomach upset which may or may not have been from this product that includes acorns and figs although my poo was the colour of figs and acorns as well as being runny which it never usually is. I thin it is good value for money as long as it suits your digestion, not so sure that it suits mine !

Delighted with the product and excellent service. It taste great and was more than what I had expected.

Always use this coffee at home. It tastes just like coffee and has the advantage of not containing caffeine

I'm a hardened coffee drinker. Just one a day but don't like to function without it. And not just any old instant coffee. I like Lavazza espresso as a caffelatte or as instant it has to be Douwe Egberts and nothing else. I won't have anything else. I only have one a day but it's my starter for the day. I have health reasons for wanting to cut down caffeine where I can and over the years had tried alternatives to coffee a few times. Barleycup, a Chicory alternative that I can't remember the name of that everyone was raving about and other stuff. Suffice to say I couldn't bear them and they all ended up in the bin (and they're not cheap either.) I read the reviews for this one after a friend of mine said she used to have Bambu many years ago but hadn't had it for aeons. She said it was the best she'd tried. The reviews are so good that I thought I'd give it a shot and here I sit with my first mug of it. I mixed in some cold milk to the powder in the bottom of the mug, (I always do this with my coffee as to me it tastes creamier than putting water straight in.) Then I added the water and then I drizzled a bit of cream on top on the back of a spoon. (Just as I do with my Douwe Egberts.) I took the first sip and couldn't believe it. I'm getting such a similar sense of my drink as I do with my coffee first thing in the day. I'm not sitting here thinking "Yuk, this is an alternative." I'm just drinking it down and enjoying it. I really am gobsmacked as I honestly believed I'd never find a drink that I would enjoy to help me minimise my caffeine intake. If you are sceptical about alternatives too, give this one a go. I've tried several and this one will not be thrown straight in the bin, but rather enjoyed.

A great coffee alternative with a nice taste and an healthy option too. I add a little splash of milk to a mug of Bambu and that's it, full of goodness and I like it that much I'll be ordering another jar shortly.

I hadn't found a really good coffee substitute that isn't sweet or doesn't have a vanilla taste that would actually remind me of drinking coffee. I drink my coffee & coffee substitutes only with whole milk added, no sweeteners. This A. Vogel Bambu drink is my new favorite. It comes closest to the old, real original Postum which had been around way back in 1895 all the way to 2007, and which I loved (very disappointed with the newer Postum which is nothing close to its first product). Recommend this organic Bambu instant drink.

I like this product very much. Had bought Postum as a substitute but I like Bambu much better. It dissolves much better then the postum did and the taste is great. I will certainly be buying more in the near future.

J'ai apprécié contrairement à quelques autres substituts de café , c'est une question de goût , pour ma part agréablement surprise. C'est sûr qu'on ne retrouve pas le goût du café mais c'est une bonne alternative
