## Description

The Easy Fit Metal Repair Bandage is an exhaust repair kit from our Gun Gum range containing an adjustable wrap which can be fitted to bends in sections of the exhaust or where a silencer box meets a pipe. **Q: What's the actual circumference of the repair kit?**
A: Length: 80 cm. Width: 11.4 cm. For screw-top lids up to 175 mm in diameter. 1 tube is 150g of gun gum repair paste. However, I wouldn't bother with this product - it is rubbish. I had a hole where the exhaust pipe meets the rear baffle and used this product . The weather at the time was slightly damp but the repair was under the car. After 4 days the paste had not set. I tried running the engine to heat it up to help setting but the exhaust gases blew holes in the paste making a leak so I had to reapply the paste. Also the water in the exhaust gas made the paste gooey again. After a week I gave up and did what I should have done and bought a replacement baffle online from euro car parts and fitted this and now all is good.

Use to cover a rusty 2cm-hole in the bend of my exhaust pipe. They claim it can last for ages, and is MOT-approved. My repair lasted perfectly for a month - which was great - but exhaust fumes are just too corrosive. The glue broke up, and the metal wrap rusted through. Ended up getting the whole exhaust replaced, which I probably should have just done in the first place...
