20V MAX Battery, POWERSTACK, More Power More Compact, Rechargeable 5Ah Lithium Ion Battery (DCBP520)

The DEWALT 20V MAX XR POWERSTACK 5Ah battery has completely exceeded my expectations. The power output is noticeably stronger than my older packs, and the improved runtime means I can get through demanding projects without constantly swapping batteries. What really stands out is how compact and lightweight it is for the performance it delivers. The tools feel more balanced in hand, and the battery stays cool even during heavy use. Charging time is quick, and the overall build quality is exactly what you’d expect from DEWALT solid, durable, and built for real jobsite conditions. Great battery for all 20v dewalt tools. It wakes up your tools compared to the regular xr batteries. I manly use it on my 3/4 dcf964 and it is a beast with it. It’s shorter than a normal 5ah xr but as wide as a 21700 cell 6ah. I like the one press for the battery indicator as well, stays lit up for a few seconds like Milwaukee batteries. It you use high power dewalt tools, you’ll love this battery

These are awesome, the bottom grip base, balanced, smaller, lighter, and it does kick out more power. This even seems to last longer somehow. This was a good Black Friday buy.

The DeWalt powerstack battery is smaller and more compact than DeWalt’s standard battery. After using this battery for several months I do not feel it offers enough increased power or life to compensate for the increased price. Like all of DeWalts 20v batteries this is compatible with all of DeWalts 20v tools.

Was hesitant on this one for the price, since same one is $179 + WA 8.5% tax. Received today in sealed Dewalt box. All markings on battery are authentic Dewalt. Easy to spot counterfeits as they lack top bar code and 2nd serial number. Mfg date on battery received same as order date 07/2025. Never opened and matched photo with authentic new model white led's which stay on for a second when activated. Also only charged to 1 bar which would be correct for a new unused battery. Unfortunately I have plenty of 5ah batteries but this one is for a specific Dewalt tool, or I would buy another one at this price.

I debated giving 4 stars because of how expensive these are. But, we can all see the price and decide for ourselves if we want to pay it. The battery has a lot of power, tools definitely run stronger compared to smaller batteries. I have the smaller powerstack battery also, and this does give a little more oomph than that. And, a lot more time. What I think I like most about this battery is how stable it sits (sounds weird, I agree). It hlps to keep your tool where you sit it, harder to knock things over. This was very nice using it with a light, and also with a framing hammer which is rather top heavy. This battery helps to balance it, makes it feel lighter.

I just charged this 5-amp Power Stack today right out of the packaging. When I removed it from the packing it was showing one bar on the battery indicator light. I plugged it into a De Walt DCB1104 4-amp charger and started a timer on my phone. The 80% charge was reached around 51 / 52 minutes. The full charge was reached while I was watch since I knew from the 80% when it should be close. So, it was right on at exactly 1 hour, 4 minutes 31 seconds. If there is anyone out there who is interested as I was. I think that charge time says a lot for both the battery and the charger. I'm very pleased with the De Walt purchases I have made so far. So far, so good!

My favorite battery ever! So far, it doesn't matter what the job has been; this battery will last! Especially how light and powerful it is. It's a little wider, but I don't mind that.

This battery is quite expensive for most, yet it delivers in performance and hopefully will last a couple of years more than a standard DeWalt battery. There was an issue with the delivery and seller was very helpful to make sure I receive the parcel.
