Bahubali 2: The Conclusion

A fantasy film from India that refines the usual 'Bollywood' conventions and delivers a very entertaining and well-produced story that can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with most Hollywood sword and sandal epics of the last ten years. The film has it all - big battle scenes, a good prince and an evil prince, a scheming uncle, a lost baby, elephants, a rotating giant scythe that chops off heads in battle, betrayal, loyalty, romance and er...no sex. The lead actor is surprisingly charismatic and believable in the part and has worthy adversaries that are going to be difficult to overcome. There are a couple of songs but audiences not used to the usual Bollywood movies will find these interesting also because the filmmakers have tried to make them accessible and fun. Overall, this is a two-and-a-half-hour film that is very entertaining. Be warned though, this is the first part of a two-part epic. The second part was released at the end of last year and has yet to make its way to the home formats but don't let this stop you as the first part deals with the backstory and the ascent of the lead character and ends at an appropriate point.

Amazing and full of depth visually, spiritually and storyline, had to watch both films on same day! Second one equally as good as 1st. Looking forward to third one! Even as a lady I enjoyed the battle scenes. Well done South India...you give Bollywood and Hollywood something to aspire to and covered all genres and emotions! a film with heart and soul with bravery and gentle emotion and most of all Depth! Thanks...may more decent film-makers be blessed to make more films like this...even Hollywood stars want to be in it! Cheers

Good movie. Excellent special effects, especially for an Indian movie. A lot of inspiration was taken from LOTR and GOT. Worthwhile watch.

Stunning, if you like big gorgeous looking epics they don't get much better than this, well apart from part 2 which takes it to another level, there are of course the cheesy elements you might expect but fair play are kept to a minimum and don't get in the way of the very gripping and dramatic story telling, an incredibly enjoyable fantastical film.

Amazing cinematography. Very enjoyable, packed with actions, drama, cultural values that makes it so watchable with the family. India body-building community and special effects have reached a superb level.

Stunning views added value to a good storyline.

Absolutely excellent. They should do a series along the same lines. A lot of reviews are slating it because it's not Hollywood. I would suggest those people don't understand the idea of different cultural attitudes to film and narrative. Compelling.

I'm a sucker for romance... and Bllywood brings their own flair to it- the requisite dances and rain. Looking forward to the sequel!

J'ai acheté le premier Bahubali que j'ai adoré et je voulais acheter la suite pour comprendre le début de l'histoire car il faut savoir que le Bahubali 2 est en fait le début de l'histoire. J'adore les costumes, les paysages et l'histoire qui se déroule il y a quelques centaines d'années dans l'Inde traditionnelle avant l'arrivée des Britanniques. C'est un peu mythique mais surtout, c'est original. La bande sonore est en langue hindie mais il y a des sous-titres en anglais.

I am totally in awe of the movie which is even bigger than the first one which was also brilliant. Already saw this movie 4 times including once in a multiplex & not getting over it. Excellent Direction by the Best Director of India S.S.Rajamouli, excellent potrayal by all the actors, visually stunning, superb background music, visual effects, good music & not a single dull moment in the movie.The DVD is absolutely brilliant with superb Dolby Digital sound enhancing the movie viewing experience. Totally worth the price.

The movies are very good and love the story, good price for both of them love it.

DVD picture quality was very good.The Dolby 5.1 sound was awesome. The Dolby sound was better than any movie DVD purchased till date.I also liked the Menu on the DVD to go to songs and scenes.
