Nuki Smart Lock Pro (3rd generation), smart door lock with Wi-Fi remote access, electronic door lock turns your smartphone into a key, with Power Pack, Black

This smart lock really good. Easy to setup. Instructions are clear ans it adapted well on my door lock. It has been pretty reliable and works well with phone and optional keypad. The only thing to consider it is a bit noisy and a tad slow when closing or opening. Otherwise pretty happy with it.

This is a beautiful electronic lock that will fit most doors/locks that have a key (it fits over a key, which is how it locks/unlocks). It has great connectivity options and works with almost all home automation systems including HomeKit, etc. Using the native Nuki app, you can configure just about anything you can think of, including setting automations like lock at night, unlock in the morning, etc. It includes a rechargeable battery, but for the price, it should include a spare as well. It is very expensive for what it is, and battery life is poor (again, for what it is). I get about 2 weeks, locking at night and unlocking in the morning - which is not great. They have guidance for permanently wiring power to the lock, but this is not practical in the UAE.

Purchased in May, Installed in June 2023. Motor failed today, November 7th. I m questioning the reliability of the device after 5 months of work. No UAE based customer support makes it very difficult to make warranty claim (ongoing now). If I were to do it again, I would go with something that is locally supported. Nothing wrong with the remote team: they are just slow and you barely get any response until you call the international (Texas based Voice over IP number)... I am on day 8 (and counting) with a broken lock and Nuki in Austria (that's where the international support is) is still figuring out a way how to have a return label created for me to ship the deffecrive Unit to a warehouse in Germany before they can ship me replacement. Very disappointed. The local vendor E-cart through Amazon is not responsive either and it does not seem they are obliged to get involved. Biggest mistake.

The only thing I am not happy, is the speed it reacts. When you leave home and press lock, it takes at least 20 s to connect and react. Coming home, it works in about 90% as designed. In At least 10% it doesn‘t unlock the door by itself… Over all, it works, but the App is horribly slow

I asked for return, and they didn’t come or call Then they said in the system that pickup was rejected by customer which is a complete scam

The battery was only at 40% but it had been there for several weeks before I decided to charge again. Please note these are not PD charging supported so if you have USB type C chargers it probably won't work. It's best to use the USB A to C cable that comes with the lock. It works 100% of the time with our bar door with no external handle.

Little bit expensive

This lock dose what it should but to get full functionality you need to buy many extras such as the dedicated lock barrel, door sensor, keypad and spare battery pack which together makes it an expensive solution. The only other criticism is that it is somewhat slow to connect. However overall I would recommend this product.

If you after a smart lock for retrofitting to an existing door, this product may fit the bill. The Nuki smart lock is made to work best with European style locking cylinders. Ideally, the locking cylinder should not feature a thumb turn on the inside (it is made to go on top of a key) and the lock needs to be of a type that allows it to operate with keys inserted on both sides. European style locking cylinders are easy to replace though, so even if your existing cylinder does not work with the smart lock, it can easily be replaced - at an additional cost, of course. The smart lock can be programmed to work with different types of door locks and hardware. You can have a regular handle on the outside or just a knob or pull handle. The smart lock can cope with locks that require one full turn of the key and locks that require two turns of the key. The smart lock connects directly to your home WiFi and can then be controlled through an app installed on your smartphone (Android or Apple). To unlock the door, you can use the app or an optional wireless keypad or fingerprint scanner. You can also set up the app such that the door unlocks automatically when you are in close proximity. For locking, you have the option of doing it manually through the app, or you can set it up such that the door always locks automatically after a certain time expires following unlocking. You can also press the button on the inside twice on leaving the house and the smart lock will lock the door after 20 seconds or so. At any time, pressing the button on the inside once will lock/unlock the door (see video). It is also possible to simply turn the dial on the inside manually for locking/unlocking. In the unlocked state, there's a white LED flashing at regular intervals to let you know that the door is unlocked. The brightness of the LEDs is adjustable. As long as you have an internet connection on your smartphone through WiFi or mobile data, you can remotely check the locking status of your door and, of course, remotely unlock it, e.g. to admit a friend, family member or tradesperson. You can invite others to be able to use their smartphones for access and you will receive automatic notifications if they unlock the door. For charging, you can either plug in a charger directly if you have a power point close to the door, or you can remove the battery pack. Overall, a clever little device. I deducted one star because I don't like the feel of manual dial - it is a bit flimsy - and so is the attachment of the top part of the smart lock. However, that's an issue only if you use the smart lock manually.
