For ~$5 this is a great tool for both removing key caps and key switches. The key cap puller is just the simple wire puller to pull off caps without scratching up the sides of the caps.The key switch puller more of a convenience than a practical key switch puller. The metal prongs do not have enough springiness to release the switch from the puller once it is extracted from the board. This simply means that you will have to push the key switch out of the puller instead of the puller springing back open.The other issue is that because it lacks the springiness and rigidity you sometimes have to pull the prongs back apart to begin pulling more switches. This is generally not an issue but can happen on occasion.The benefit of this key puller (aside from it being bigger than the standard all metal one included with most kits) is that it has a low profile. This allows for the puller to get into a small space between the switch and the high profile case that some keyboards have.If you have a hotswap keyboard this is a must have tool.

Worked great on my asus keyboard

First key tab that i remove came out like butter. i reach my 2nd one. the wires popped off. Then i notice the holder for the wire wasn't sealed properly. I still used it to pop off the rest of the key tabs.. but it couldve been an easier way to do it. Im not sure if it was right to return a defective item. Im sure i abuse the wire to pop out the rest of my keys. So... i rated 3 star.-1 for wires-1 for black holder.
