Bernzomatic Trigger Start Torch (TS 8000 Torch)

Great tool! I use it to ligh up smoking pelets (in a tube) for smoking cheese. Maybe a bit of an overkill, but I love this torch! Solid and sturdy, as expected. PS: Looking forward to make some creme brulee, but also to solder some pipes 😀

Brilliant piece of kit

This is the real thing. I was seduced into buying cheaper, and although they said they were genuine they were not. They leaked the gas and were shodily made in China. This torch is really great. No need to disconnect from the bottle as there are no leaks and it is superbly made.

Exactly what I’m looking for a long time ago. It seems to me that’s a little small than I expected but even so a beautiful piece of work.

I have already reviewed this but it has not shown up on the site: Item bought via Amazon from USA. It arrived very quickly and has been used. It feels sturdy and well built. Overall it works well but, I wanted it to use in confined areas, which meant turning it upside down. It did not work fully upside down, as stated in blurb, but kept flaming out. I might have to buy a hose and bottle to stop this. Also, as expected, it has a USA thread fitting which therefore needs an EU adaptor which is easy to get, (CGA600 thread to EU 7/16" thread).

La torche fonctionne à merveille. J'ai mis du temps à recevoir la torche à cause d'un transporteur DHL défaillant. Bon contact avec le service commercial qui a fait tout son possible pour rattraper la situation.

I needed a new torch tip as I was using a pencil tip with mixed results and high effort. I considered getting a turbo-torch tx4 but the price was 2-3 times as much as this tip with the same features. Straight out of the box the body seems to be made of solid aluminum and the quality is good, especially the tip. Unit has some heft to it. Using the torch I noticed the amount of heat this torch puts out with MAP gas is astounding. It would not surprise me if you could braze 3/8-7/8ths copper with this if you did not have a air or oxy/acetylene torch. Very impressive, 3/4" soldering can be done within seconds of heating the fitting/pipe. This is an excellent tool. It heats the fittings so fast that you will need to turn the heat down with the handy adjustable output knob. I was also pleased by the ignition speed and reliability, it lights fast and almost every time. Pros: - Excellent value - Good build quality - Adjustment knob - Locking button for the flame to stay lit Some cons: - Weight, this item is kind of heavy, makes the small MAP tanks abit tipsy if you sent them down momentarily - Yellow ignition button is gonna get filthy really fast if you use gloves soldering, minor but notable. - Overkill for light duty work. I would recommend a pencil tip for light duty work, which is cheaper and spreads heat slower. easier to learn with.

Vale lo que cuesta, luego luego se nota la calidad. Su encendido por chispa es muy cómodo. También lo es el gatillo con seguro para dejar abierta la flama y el apagado con un solo toque; pero la característica que me es más útil es la de que esta boquilla funciona el posición invertida, esto me permite soldar tranquilamente conectores de tubería de cobre que están por debajo del nivel del piso, cosa que antes se me complicaba mucho porque el resto de las boquillas que usé, en esa posición funcionaban un par de segundos y se apagaba la llama. Era lo que me faltaba para estar preparado para cualquier tipo de arreglo de tubería de cobre.
