Tricked quite a few coworkers with the pen! The marker worked once and then stopped. I keep the pen in the pen holder on my desk and just wait for the next person to reach for it. Its gets them every time.

Extremely cheap quality. The shock effect is poor and you will start to wonder if it even works. The marker fell apart upon opening and was useless. Not at all worth it. Not even as a gimic.

Both work great, although good luck tricking anyone with the marker since it says 'Shock Marker' right on it, lol. I knew that from the pictures, though, and purchased this for the pen. It's exactly what I wanted (and I guess I missed the part that said it actually writes - so that's even better)! My teen is constantly playing pranks on me so I finally decided: 'If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!' Got just the reaction I was hoping for when I asked him to please add something to my grocery list (that was conveniently laying on the computer desk with the shock pen). ;D He won't stop playing with it now and looks forward to getting back to school eventually with a whole new assortment of pranks, haha! Definitely the best prank item that I've purchased so far!

The pen works great, pranked all my co-workers with it and it even looks like you can change the batteries. The pen does feel light but looks realistic and you can write with it as well so when co workers see me writing with it they fall for it every time.. I give it 3 stars tho because the marker did not work at all, not even a light shock and the price was a bit steep

The pen is the best....good shock given....lots of laughs from this pen. The marker on the other hand is not as strong and doesn't perform immediately...you have to hold it the right way..just not really worth the effort.

the buzz has a very mild buzz. disappointing

This is a really fun and funny product, sold by Gagster. My son bought it for himself and he and his sister have been shocking each other silly. They are 8 and 11, and they shock isn't too much for them--but just enough! They do actually write, though the fake marker tip is hard plastic (can't tell from a distance). Best of all, I had a small problem with the pen (didn't screw properly to write) and my son was devastated since he spent his own money. Going through Amazon would have taken so much time, so I went directly to Gagster.com and emailed them through the site -- they emailed back the same day and helped us right away. Very personable, polite, etc. Really nice, customer-service oriented, which I appreciate. We are happy customers.

Loved this! It came extremely fast and I was so excited to pull it out and use it on my kids. Mwahaha. I bought them their own markers, but they are always leaving the lids off and ruining them so then they come get mine. Well I put this in my marker cup and sure enough. 2/4 kids came to use it at different times and were definitely SHOCKED in every sense of the word. At first they were freaked out...but once they realized what kind of pen/marker it was they thought it was hilarious. One of my children (the masochist 😜) kept shocking themselves over and over just laughing. Overall a great buy. Will probably be getting more for my favorite things party coming up in December!
