Tried these new boots out within a day or two of them being delivered. Yes, they are very lightweight and comfortable, a big plus for the three plus mile hike into the stream. So far, so good. However, in the water, a freestone river in Colorado, they did not perform well at all. They did not provide the grip, traction, and stability I was expecting. In fact, they were only slightly better than my old felt soled boots. I slipped all over the place all day long, in the water and even out, despite having screwed in the studs. I guess I got what I paid for but I am going to return them.

As these are made to wear over waders, they are large. If you intend to wear them without waders, order 2 sizes smaller.

Affordable comfortable boot, but the drain holes on sides of boot let gravel , and sand into the boot, so what’s the point of gravel guards if gravel gets in anyways ?
