Excellent quality for recording

Copied to several of the Discs and all were successful, ran disc verification after and got a 100% pass. I was surprised that these being Philips that they were so cheap.

these disks are cheap and work just fine. i am currently burning my home made films onto disks for prosperity and to play on my new DVD player.

No problem with these recordable dvd`s - have used Philips brand for over 12 years now and never had a problem. Seller was quick to post only delay was I waited until I`d used a couple of them! Highly recommended.

These are amazingly reliable. Two mis-burns in an entire stack, and I know which butter-fingers is to blame. That's why I'm hiding in the cellar. So pretty, too; until you do a burn, you can't even SEE the grooves!

Outer box was intact but the heavy 100-disc stack was not kept in place by the tiny amount of crumpled paper packing used in the empty space in an unnecessarily large box. In transit the base of the plastic case was broken and had burst out of the shrink wrap so that the spool was partially out of the lid. The lowest disc was shattered & the next disc scratched, plus particles had got between several other adjacent discs where gaps had opened up between them. This debris could be blown off & does not appear to have caused damage - but only usage will prove this. I have purchased Sony & Philips stacks of these DVD-R discs many times - the products are good but the packing is sometimes poor. I have seen minor damage to the cases before (because of movement inside the outer cartons) but not as bad as this and resulting in useless discs.

I have been using Philips DVD+R discs for seven years now. I have also, occasionally, used other branded name discs, and they have never come up to the same standard. I cannot remember the last time a Philips disc failed on me, and the record quality is always great (depending on the quality settings on the recorder). Even years later, the older discs seem to play well, with no noticeable degradation on the quality. My biggest worry is they are becoming harder to come by online. Amazon seems to be the only major place to get them in decent bundle numbers these days. I would thoroughly recommend these discs. As I say, after years - not just days or weeks - For me at least, other discs have never come close on quality.

Cosa devi sapere (I Contro - Onestà brutale): - Protezione della Campana: La confezione in plastica è funzionale per lo stoccaggio, ma se subisce urti forti durante il trasporto, i dischi in cima o in fondo potrebbero graffiarsi o la base potrebbe creparsi. - Sensibilità alla Luce: Come tutti i supporti ottici scrivibili, lo strato di colorante organico teme l'esposizione diretta e prolungata ai raggi solari e all'umidità; se conservati male, i dati potrebbero diventare illeggibili dopo qualche anno. - Velocità Effettiva: Anche se certificati per alte velocità, masterizzare a 16x aumenta il rischio di errori di tracciamento. Per un backup critico, è sempre meglio scendere a 4x o 8x. La fretta è la nemica numero uno dei dati su disco: non masterizzate mai alla massima velocità permessa. Il trucco pro: Per garantire che i vostri dati durino nel tempo, masterizzate i DVD a una velocità intermedia (massimo 4x o 8x), anche se il software vi permette di andare più veloci; questo permette al laser di incidere i "pit" in modo più netto e leggibile. Una volta masterizzato, conservate la campana in un luogo buio, fresco e asciutto. Se dovete etichettare i dischi, usate esclusivamente pennarelli a base d'acqua (soft tip) specifici per CD/DVD: i solventi presenti in alcuni pennarelli indelebili comuni possono, col passare degli anni, corrodere lo strato protettivo e danneggiare i dati sottostanti. Verdetto: Un classico intramontabile dell'archiviazione.
