Midori 49841006 – Paper Exercise Book Cover, A5

Purchased this paper cover as it was the cheapest option for a MD Notebook Cover I could find. It certainly protects your A5 MD notebooks well. I also have the clear plastic version as well. The cover will probably take time to wear in as it is a little stiff straight out of the bag.

Bought this for my sister along with a pad for the fountain pen I got her. It fits beautifully and looks very classy. Importantly my sister really likes it too. I don’t have this cover for my paper but will be buying one.

Lovely plain cotton paper cover for my notebook - minimalist look and natural feel - it is just a slightly thicker type of paper so won’t stand up to too much abuse but I don’t intend to do that!

I love this case! The colour is perfect; nice and muted. Whilst it’s paper, it has a nice feel to it. It has a low-profile with no buttons or loops anywhere so nothing interferes/protrudes from behind the surface making it easy to write on. Structurally it provides some support but might still not be enough if you are a lap writer. I’ve used this for a few months and it holds up well. Mine is paired with a Midori MD notebook.

It's great for babies and so well built that even adults like it.

Bought as a temporary measure for hobonichi cousin . A snug fit, but ok.

The notebook cover fits my Midori MD A5 notebook pretty well, though I was scared of ruining both while fitting the notebook into the cover’s sleeves. The cover is very nice to the touch, with a very subtle texture that is different than the very smooth notebook paper. It is also pleasing to look at with its simplicity and natural tone. It is still paper however, so I’m expecting creases to start forming more and more as carry around, taking it in and out of my bag.

Es cara pero la calidad es superior. El tacto y el olor son indescriptibles...estoy encantada. Seguiré comprando para más cuadernos, y seguiré confiando en la marca Midori.

Creo que debí leer más la descripción, está linda pero no creo que sea muy útil ni proteja bien sinceramente, es de cartón entonces pues deja que desear por el precio, por eso decidí regresarla.

Nachdem ich mit der zunächst bestellten Plastikvariante nicht so recht zufrieden war, habe ich dann doch noch der Papiervariante der Hülle eine Chance gegeben. Die Passform ist sehr gut und die Eigenschaft des Notizbuchs, im geöffneten Zustand schön flach zu liegen, wird in keiner Weise beeinträchtigt. Einstecken lässt sich das Midori Notebook Journal A5 (die 176 bzw. 192 Seiten Variante, NICHT die One Day One Page Variante) sehr leicht, trotzdem hat es in den Einschüben kaum Spiel nach oben und unten und sitzt somit schön stabil. Ob sich da noch was weitet, wird sich natürlich erst mit der Zeit zeigen, ebenso die Robustheit der Ecken der Hülle. Das Material an sich wirkt bislang sehr widerstandsfähig und die Hülle fasst sich dabei wirklich angenehm an. Auch die Haptik an den Kanten gefällt mir gut (hier hatte mich die Plastikvariante wirklich gestört). Mein einziger (sehr subjektiver) Kritikpunkt ist die Farbe. Dieses Pastell-Aprikot mit leichter rosa Tendenz sagt mir nun so überhaupt nicht zu, tut der Funktionalität und Nutzbarkeit aber natürlich keinen Abbruch. Insgesamt bin ich mit dieser Hülle sehr zufrieden.
