To do so, you would need to do a lot of modification with LEGO® Power Functions, but it is possible! Additionally, you will also need to replace the wheels in the train carriages. The wheels the set comes with are not compatible with LEGO train tracks. **Q: Does this train fit on the standard Lego train track? I noticed it does not come with any.** A: I am not sure. I don't have any Lego train tracks but I'm pretty sure they would make it so it would fit on the standard Lego track. Lego is pretty amazing like that. **Q: Will this run on the 9volt track** A: This is NOT a motorized set. It is just a retired standard Lego set that you build and display. It does have some Glow-N-Dark pieces. It’s a cool set and wish Lego brought back this series. It looks great and was easy for him an experienced lego builder to make. Unlike some sets there is alot to this set and it complements the other sets in this range extending play oppertunities.
