Outstanding service
Bought to use with the heater in my greenhouse - works perfectly for my needs. It was received the day after ordering even though I was originally quoted nearly a week for delivery.

Easy to use, but poor accuracy.
Purchased on of the these for my 2 year old daughter's room. It's the only room in the house not connected to the central heating system and so we've been using a portable oil-filled radiator for heating. Thought the use of a Thermostat would keep her bedroom at a nice constant temperature throughout a cold winter's night. In itself, the thermostat is very straight forward to use. The panel displays the current room temperature and you simply turn the dial to set the minimum required temperature. If the room temp drops below this, the thermostat switches on the heater. Unfortunately, the thermostat's accuracy is very poor with fairly wild temperature fluctuations. We set up two other thermometers in the room to compare temperature and found the thermostat was out by anything up to 4 degrees C. This meant that aiming for a room temp of 18C could lead to an actual temperature of anything between 14C to 22C. Attempted a variety of methods to keep a constant temperature over a 2 week period and actually discovered it was costing more to run than if I just simply left the heater on low throughout the night. Nice design, easy to use but let down by poor accuracy.

Beware, does the job but temperature reading inaccurate, poor calibration?
Because I need this to protect against frozen pipes I decided to check it worked properly before installing on site and found the temperatures shown were consistently 3deg. higher than the 3 thermometers I compared them with (one was an LCD, another a quality traditional glass one). So if I want a room kept at, say, 10deg I will have to set the device to 13deg. I think my tests are reliable, carried out in our conservatory in the evening so no sunlight and draught free, and there as no source of heat nearby to affect readings. I plugged table lamps into the socket to check the temp at which power was turned on and then tested with a heater to check turn on and off. Worked though the margin between target temp and turn off temp was a bit more than the 0.5deg suggested. If I didn't need this urgently I would have taken calibration issue with the supplier. Oddly I bought one years ago, didn't test it then but found now that it has exactly the same problem.

Arrived on time and undamaged would use this seller again. This is the second one I have purchased and it is as good as the first, easy to use with a clear display. I use this to control a 60watt tube heater during the Winter period and have had no problems.

Not sensetive enough
Bought one of these for the garage, simple to use, just turn the dial to the desired temperature in degrees C , radiator on full and let it do the rest. The only advantage this has to the thermostat on the radiator is that you can set the desired temp on this in degrees C . However... it's nowhere near sensitive enough, the temperature drops considerably before it switches the heater back on. And also it lets the room get too warm before it switches it off. I know this because I have a max/min digital thermometer on the wall. You're better off relying on the built in thermostat on the radiator itself, which renders this gadget pointless. Would be a good idea if it was more sensitive and kept the range to +/- 2 degrees C
