Canada Green grass seed is a blend of 53.2 percent creeping red fescue, 23.4 percent annual rye, 14.1 percent perennial rye and 4.4 percent Kentucky bluegrass

Wiil it grow in the winter

I broke the rules and put some down in november. It survived frost that month and london winter. Very hardy grass. Darker in colour than most UK varieties. Put some more down in April to blend better. Lawn looks great.

What is the best time of sew this - Spring, Autumn/fall or anytime TIA

Best time to sow this seed in in the spring since it grows much faster however we have had success all year round. Only issue in autumn is sometimes heavy rain can cause the ground to become waterlogged and the seed can die. Its a good all round seed that grows in almost any conditions - if it doesn't rain when you sow it just water it to get it established. Hope this helps

can you sow this on top of exsiting lawns?

Yes I do every year. Once I have scarified the lawn to get any moss or weeds out, I then cut it. I put the new seeds all over the lawn, to ensure that its one colour abs blends in. Works very well every year.
