Hycote Matt Lacquer Spray Paint, 400 ml

This is a great product. I have tried lots of other spray paints, and I'm sure a proper spray system would be better. But for quick jobs this does the job. It sprays fairly evenly and easily (although too much and your hand will ache). The finish is great. I used it on some metal bicycle bumpers and it did not chip or scratch over 5 years. It is a pure clear, so will not change the colour of what you're spraying and it did not fade over that period, so very durable

I'm happy with this purchase and have had no issues with it. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.

I recently bought some 3D wall panels in stone effect and they were shiny so looked fake. I tried Rust-Oleum matte lacquer and that didn’t work so I bought this. I applied 4 coats and although it didn’t get rid of the shine 100%, it has made the panels Matt enough to use so I’m happy. The photos show before and after. I applied it outdoors and with a mask on as the smell of the spray is very strong

Works well, bit more like a Matt/satin mix rather than pure matte but still pretty good. Nozzle is a dot one so no good using this on large areas . Saw a review of someones furniture "ruined" but realistically this is the wrong product for that job you need a spray gun with wide fan for that. Overall paint dries pretty fast , didn't react or anything. Would use again. Will have to see how it holds up. Maybe 2k would be better for my application but I guess we'll see.

Does the job

Bought to coat over a painted record player, which turned out really well. Old black paint needed refreshed, so painted silver metallic to match amp and cd player. This flattened out the paint and gave it a great feeling of protection, as I didn’t fancy scrapes or scratches. Drys in 15 mins between coats, I used 4 for great results. Sprays really well and never experienced any spots or areas where it came out different. Strong smell, make sure you do it with plenty of air circulation or outside.

I found this ok. Spray is a bit intermittent but fit for purpose. Odour is light and dire quickly. Good value.

Had a few of these over the last few weeks and have been impressed with the product. However. I had 2 delivered today and one of the tins was missing the nozzle. As you can see from the picture the security tape is still in place but the nozzle is missing. Will use the one of the other can but please check before you dispatch. If I had only ordered the one it would have been useless.

Perfecta!

Klebt gut.
