Fits Brompton with some fettling if you have a front carrier block.
I bought this bracket at the same time as the Cateye AMPP 500 for my Brompton. I wanted better visibility when cycling through dark/poorly lit parks and I needed better visibility on the roads to accompany my smaller flashing light which is mounted higher on my handlebars. This bracket does fit the Brompton on the lower brake bracket but it needs a bit of fettling to make it work if you carry a front bag as the light hits the block affecting steering. It's fairly simple, just disassemble the plastic light clip from the metal bracket and turn it through 180deg and mount it the opposite way round to how it's supplied. This will allow you to feed the bracket under the brake callipers so the light is mounted lower and no longer hits the block or the bag. g. (You may need to fit the plastic light bracket after you've fitted the metal part to the bike to make it easier to feed under the brake calliper) If you don't use a front bag and carrier block then I imagine this won't be an issue, so just mount it above the calliper as normal. I hope this review helps anyone with a Brompton. 👍🏻

Very sturdy bracket for cateye front light.
I bought this bracket to mount a cat eye AMPP500 on the front of my wife’s bike. I needed this bracket because if the light is mounted on the handlebars the fitted basket casts a big shadow in front of the bike. The bracket turned out to be the perfect solution. It’s very sturdy and can be fitted onto the central mud guard mount (with a slightly longer bolt). It gives just enough clearance for the v brake to work without any contact with the bracket.

Good quality
Good quality. But a bit expensive

Good way to mount a light down low
Good but basic. Does not include mounting bolts, so be aware that you'll need hardware to fit this. Fairly hard to tighten. The mount itself is plastic and fits Cateye lamps properly (Ampp 400).

Good bracket
Functions exactly as expected. Enables me to ride with bar bag and still have unobstructed light for visibility.

Sheared off and dropped my light onto the road after 3 years' use
I've been using this with the Cateye Volt 1700 permenantly mounted for three years until the metal bracket sheared off and dropped my light on the pavement without warning. I probably covered about 4000 miles in this time. The good: A really rock solid mount for the light that does not slip like handlebar mounts, if mounted correctly - which leads me to the extras... The extras: To secure a good mount, you'll need to buy some 1" rubber washers and metal washers as well as a bolt and some threadlock. I had to replace the rubber washers every year as they perished and shrank compromising the stability of the mount. I had to take a dremel to shape the large metal washers over my front mudguard, but this will vary with your bike's clearances. Next time: I will buy another one of these, but I won't leave the light permenantly mounted onto it as I think the weight significantly contributed to this failure. I'll probably have to replace it every 5 years of so as well as I don't want to risk wrecking a £150 light for the sake of renewing a £7 bracket.

Very sturdy
Superb bracket, very sturdy. Weighs 45g (Plus the bolt through the bike) so a little heavy but is very substantial. The regular flex right bracket is around 18g so not that much more, but this is very very secure. You will need to buy fixing to hold to the bike, but still an absolute bargain.

Super stabile e ben fatto
