My only change would be to be able to quiet the beeping when changing volt and amp settings, seems a little annoying. One thing to keep in mind before using the unit is to switch the input voltage in the back of the unit to 115V. For some reason it is set to the higher, foreign setting when you take it out of the box. This unit is far better than the inexpensive ones you can find out there. Spend a few bucks more and get a better unit like this one. I had a cheaper one that I returned that caused static on my radio testing and also emitted a high whine/pitch from within the unit. Overall, this is a great unit for most electronic DC requirements, 30V and 10A. For my purposes with old car radios I can set the volts at 13.75 and the amps at 5A, even though the radios only pull less than 2 amps. I set 5A as a ceiling to be on the safe side if there is an internal short inside the radio. Another good feature is being able to store multiple volt/amp settings for other types of requirements. I am extremely happy with my purchase, no regrets. Review: Am using this as a manual charger for maintaining automotive lead-acid batteries. Works great for constant current, constant voltage, and float charging…use of which mode depends on state of battery charge.
