I just watched a Youtube review on this toy. Under the velcro strip on its back is a switch. Switch between (a) talking or (b) walking/talking.

It doesn't speak back in English. It has around 10 pre-recorded sounds/noises which th oddbods make in the tv programme. So it doesn't repeat what you say. You speak to it and it responds with one of the stock phrases. Hope that makes sense

Great fun and good quality toy

My 3 yr old loves this oddbod. Secretly so does my teenage son as well. Its adorable the way it shuffles round on its feet and makes some really unusual sounds including one that sounds like its coughing up a furball. Lovely soft cuddly fabric too. Well worth buying for £13.
