Tasty!
Nice taste of sweet scotch bonnet, a good spice level, maybe a Nando’s hot in heat comparison. Great with any Jamaican food. It’s a big bottle so will last a while.

Delicious seasoning
This is an excellent hot pepper sauce .... that's not too hot but a few drops into just about anything certainly enhances the flavour of what you're preparing. It even goes into the gravy of a Sunday roast!

Tasty hit sauce that elevates anything.
This is a great hot sauce for people who are more into the tangy and savoury. The mustard provides a bitter punch and the scorch bonnets are delightfully fruity and provide a nice heat for eggs, hotdogs, sandwiches, marinades, fish, everything! It's nowhere as good as Neville A. Edward's hot sauce, but that stuff is only available in Barbados, so this will do.

Nowhere Near As Good As It Originally Was
I’ve been buying Windmill hot pepper sauce from Barbados for some years. I loved the fresh, sharp , distinctive taste of the peppers and lemon yellow sauce. When this latest bottle arrived I was alarmed to see the sauce was a dirty orange/brown colour. I thought it had maybe gone off but on closer inspection the lid was still sealed and the sale by date was stamped September 2025 so clearly this wasn’t the issue. I can only assume Windmill have changed the recipe formula, but sadly it is not for the better. The new taste is disappointing and lacks the fresh pizzazz of the former and the colour is nowhere near as appealing. Such a shame. I doubt I will purchase it again.

Good but not great. Aunt May's is better, but it's a personal preference!
This is a good barbados hot pepper sauce. I normally buy Aunt Mays, but I thought I'd try this one outfor a change. Windmill is thicker, and a bit more mustardy in flavour, also it's less sweet, and not as hot as Aunt May's. Windmill is beter value though, as the bottle is twice as big. I will buy Aunt Mays again next time!

Best hot sauce in the world!
Goes with absolutely everything. So vibrant and mustardy. If you like hot sauce and haven't tried this you need to! To make it less hot you can mix it with mayo and this is also delicious!

Thank goodness I've found it online
This is by far the best pepper sauce in the universe. Or any other universe. Ever. I used to buy it from a local shop that specialised in what they proclaimed as "afro-carribean" products, but since moving I've failed to find in on the shelves of any other high street store. God bless the internet. It's got a kick but not mad hot at all - there are plenty of alternatives if that's what you're after - but the taste is completely different from most of the hot sauces out there, and it's sublime. Aunt May's is probably the closest alternative I've found, but it pales in comparison. I guess Auntie just has better PR. I'm staggered that this stuff hasn't gone more mainstream yet. If I was Mr Tesco, I'd be setting an aisle aside for it. Okay, I wouldn't - that was an exaggeration for comedic effect - but it really is jolly, jolly nice.
