That probably best sums this up. This is the first of a trilogy of books by Stevens that cover the topic of esoteric German Wunderwaffe technologies. Between this and the works of Joseph P. Farrell the ground is pretty well covered for English language readers. I have taken an interest in this topic since Nick Cook's groundbreaking "Hunt for Zero Point" [2001] & it is an entertaining area of research. I have a formal education in Mechanical Engineering to Master Degree so I hope I have some clue as to when the tech described becomes implausible. From reading around this topic I can say that certainly much theoretical research was done by the Germans in the period 1920 to 1945. Some of it was turned into technologies that we are familiar with: intercontinental ballistic missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, cruise missiles, swept with jet planes and so on. It is plausible that some basic development work on saucer-shaped aircraft was done in Prague after the German occupation that may have lead to the development of several prototypes. However these were far from exotic; they were nothing more than version of helicopters using a single large ducted fan powered by jets, ram-jets &/or rockets. The performance figures quoted though are not credible. Post war development lead to the Avro Car before the money ran out. The state of the art technology could not yield the desired thrust to weight ratios until the advent of carbon-fibre tech which produced modern consumer drones and military vehicles like the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor. If the tech worked in 1945 we would know about it. We don't - so everything that follows is just a conspiracy theory.
